  1. I recently installed Yosemite using Clover, and it's working great. But after the installtion was complete I discovered that Yosemite won't boot without the USB Install drive that I used to set up. When I remove the USB drive Yosemite gets stuck and won't boot. I must have missed something that needed to be copied to the hard drive but I don't know what. Anyone know what I should be looking for to let Yosemite boot on its own?
  2. I got 10.6.3 up and running on my first hackintosh. The first time I tried to install 10.6.8 I got a message I needed 10.6.7 installed. I found all of the Snow Leopard updates thru wikipedia which had links back to Apple for 10..4 thru 10.6.8 v1.1. I installed 10.6.4 and it ran swimmingly. As I was getting ready to fix the boot0 error a message pooped up saying the 10.6.8 upgrade was available. I started the install process and it apparently it was successful. Now the kicker. When I boot now it gets to the Apple logo and hangs. I've tried using and not using PCIRootUID=1 and going into safe mode. What's keeping it from starting?
  3. Failed to boot the usb MACOSX El Capitan into my Acer 8951G Laptop: Boots windows all the time I am trying to install El Capitan to my laptop Acer Ethos 8951G laptop. I did my USB boot drive accordig to the OS X El Capitan 10.11 U{censored} 6 Clover Installation Guide . So I made the Boot USB and then I went to the Bios of my Laptop and there is not such "Optimised defaults" so I loaded the default Bios values and saved them. Then I changed the boot order with F12 to boot from the USB stick but nothing happened ... and Windows 7 starts loading up... 4. Acer Aspire V5-573G

Hi Guys! I have Acer Aspire V5-573G 15.6” IPS FHD, i3-4010U, 4 GB RAM, HDD 1 TB, intel HD 4400, GeForce GT 720M. Which boot flag to use? Thanks!
  5. Hi guys, i'm new here, if this thread isn't in the right section please move it. ? Well, i'm not new to hackintosh but i'm facing a new problem and i don't wanna ruin things. Basicly Windows 7 installation delete Chamaleon boot loader at pc start, now i can access to Yosemite only using the USB (wich contain yosemite installation), I wanna install Chameleon bootloader back. ? this was the configuration before ruin things. Dual boot with Yosemite 10.10.0 and Windows 7 HP x64 ? actually like this ? ? ? Now with the USB boot it loads like this, with the USB being "Yosemite Zone" ? ? ? I ruined thing when for other reason I had to install Win7 again, so at installation part i didn't touched System partition (100 MB), delete only the partion with old Win and installed the new one while leaving OSX partition untouched. ? At the boot the PC just load directly Windows 7 without showing Chamaleon. ? The first time i tried to boot OSX with the USB the boot failed with screen errors, so next usb boot i insert "-x -f -v" and then the OSX booted fine. Turn off the pc tried the USB boot this time without any arguments just select OSX partition and it actually worked fine. ? How can I install back Chamaleon bootloader back without messing up thing while keeping both OSX and Windows partition selection at boot?? Tried with EasyBCD but it didn't work. Thanks! ? partition table is MBR
  6. Slow boot on clover with my SSD

Hey! ? I'm having a really slow booting after installing clover. Before it was less than 16's not it's like 40~50's. Booting with -v I can see it takes a big while to load a line that says: ? boot file path: \System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi ? It keeps there, counting dots ............. like it's expanding or something and just after this ends that the 'boot' really starts. ? All working normal besides boot time. 10.10.2, Clover 4.22.1. ? Is there anything I can do to get my fair boot times back?
  7. Hi friends! A month ago I decided to build a PC as I saw in a guide from {censored}. Specifically, the components are: -Intel i5 4690 -Gibabyte GA-H97-D3H -Crucial RAM 4GB Balistic Sport -WD 1TB HDD Following the guide (http://www.{censored}.com/user-build...el-hd4600.html) for my hardware, I found some problems: 1 - I have to boot usb and system with commands -x GraphicsEnabler = Yes PCIRootUID = 1 maxmem = 4096 npci = 0x2000 2 - When I boot into the system with these commands, install everything I need with MB{censored} (as in the indexed guide before) for my hardware. Restart the PC and I get the famous error0 booting, so I can not access Chimera. I boot from usb installation, dismount system partition and introduce the corresponding command in the terminal (tutorial I found on the same page {censored}). Then, I can enter Chimera but when I try to access, with or without boot flags, fail to load, it only shows the Apple logo without the 'load circle'. 3 - I decide to install Windows 8.1 in a second partition of the same disk and when I restart the PC, it boots directly Windows, no Chimera. 4 - Only installing N{censored} I can resolve boot problems, but I have not graphic aceleration because when I install the kext, it only boots with -x. See if you can help me because I have a whole month without being able to have everything ready, even with N{censored}. Sure I am missing something because I'm the only one who seems to be that it does not work with that hardware. Thanks, and sorry for my bad English, I'm Spanish. EDIT: I'm using a VGA monitor, not HDMI
  8. Hey guys, ? First post so I will do my best to explain the situation that I (all by myself) got myself into! ? First the spec: MSI H61M-P23 Intel Core i3-2100 @3.1GHz NVIDIA GeForce GT240 512MB Qualcom atheros ar8151 v2 -ethernet Voodoo 48000 -audio ? Ok, until yesterday I had a perfectly running system - 2 HDDs installed - one 250GB for Windows and another 320GB for Yosemite 10.10.2 runing on Clover. ? I then decided to add a 3rd disk to the lot and installed a 64GB SSD to transfer the Yosemite installation to. HDD Yosemite cloned to SSD Yosemite, rebooted and Clover asked where to boot from - I choosed the SSD drive, it booted fine and everything was great. ? Ok but rather than leaving it that way, and keep the old HDD Yosemite installation for a backup, I decided to clean things out and have it nice and simple. Formatted the 320GB HDD drive where the Yosemite and Clover installations used to be and now... I can't boot from the Clover EFI Partition on the SSD - it gets stuck on the Apple logo when I select the SSD Yosemite installation. As it can't find the BOOTX64.efi. SSD Recovery is getting stuck on the Apple logo as well. ? When booting for the Clover Bootable USB and selecting the Yosemite SSD to boot from, it is working perfeclty fine! ? What do you think, is that the reason ? I edited the config.plist "DefaultVolume", it doesn't help. May be i should modify the "Legacy" part of the config.plist? Or should i give an exact path to the BOOTX64.efi in the "DefaultLoader" ??? ? Thanks in advance for the help guys and sorry for the long post!

  10. The latest obstacle between me and my first hackintosh using OSX YOSEMITE: ? I used WIndows 7 to build an installer USB using Deepak's guide for a windows 7 USB installer. ? I included the latest FakeSMC and NullCPUPowerManagement kexts in the clover bootloader (EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.10). ? I added what I assume to be the necessary boot flags to clover's config.plist by adding the following lines at the top of config.plist, after the opening plist and dictionary tags. <key>Arguments</key> <string>kext-dev-mode=1 GraphicsEnabler=yes -v npci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1</string> ? Clover does not recognize these flags on its own. When I booted without manual flags I did not get the verbose boot I asked for in arguments (Do I need to move the closing key tag for arguments so that the string is nested inside?)? ? Anyway, when I entered the above boot flags manually and tried to boot, the PC shut down and restarted very early in the boot process. Here's the last screen I saw before reboot: ? ? ? ? Immediately after the final line my computer shuts down. I only got this shot bc I was justsitting there waiting for it .? ? Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?? I wonder if I made a mistake building the USB? I could try again using OSX. ? I attached the above image to this post. ? I'd really appreciate any help or advice you guys can offer.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

  12. Chameleon not showing OSX partition

Hi all! I have converted MBR hard disk to GPT (all partitions are saved). Then I have done adding a lot of space to my small HFS+ partition from OSX Installer Disk Utility. Then I have rebooted and my Chameleon not showing OSX, only windows available and flash (if connected). Boot flag is presented on the partition, so I don't know why Chameleon not see this slice. Please help me to fix this strange issue ?
  13. Hello, I am new to this forum and English is not my mother tongue so please be kind and notice me if I do something wrong. ? I installed Mavericks in VirtualBox, downloaded Yosemite, made a bootable USB and I can't boot after I see the UI bootloader. I tried with U{censored} / Clover / Chameleon / MacPwn / myHack, nothing worked. I tried with N{censored}, iAtkos, nothing worked. I tried five USB sticks and three laptops (one is at the office, I don't really know its specifications, but I know the others). Time totally spent: two weeks.? ? I configured everything that needs to be changed in BIOS and I tried several boot flags, starting with the cute -x -v, -f, -F, npci=0x2000, etc. ....... and culminating with the creepy kext-dev-mode=1 or IGPlatformID=01660003 dart=0 (found for my very type of laptop) ? Yes, I did tried them one at a time and I double checked my double check about whether I forgot or typed something wrong. Here I am now, asking you guys to help me, because I have no solutions left and Google is not my friend anymore. ? Lenovo B590: (I would want to fix this one as soon as possible, the other one is just for testing stuff) ? ? Lenovo T61: Details Here ? I think some sort of a boot flag might fix my problem, but I can't figure out which one is suitable for my laptop.

  17. Triple boot freeze on ubuntu

Hi, I tried to do a triple boot but I have a problem to boot on ubuntu. When I choose Ubuntu on clover I get stuck on clover's logo. I can boot to Windows and Maverick without any problems. ? I have clover in UEFI 2850. When I install Ubuntu I choose to install boot loader to my ubuntu partition /dev/sdb5.
? Vamos grava-lo na sua partição com o OS X: dd if=boot1h of=/dev/diskXsY bs=4096Lembrando, X e Y são os números do HD que está com problema. Ex: disk0s2 ? Para quem usa o Clover em modo UEFI, não terá este problema, mas se instalar o Clover em Legacy provavelmente terá que realizar este método. ? Download boot1h para Chameleon:?boot1h.zip Download boot1h para Clover:?boot1h.zip ? Se este não funcionar, terá que extrair este arquivo da pasta?i386 do Chameleon, ou do Clover. Use o app Unpkg para isso. ? Nota: Como viu acima, não se deve usar o mesmo arquivo para diferentes bootloaders. ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
  19. I have recently installed OS X Mavericks 10.9.3 on my computer, and everything works great while I'm INSIDE the OS using it. But when it comes to booting up, the screen keeps getting stuck at the grey apple logo screen, with the loading circle infinitely looping until I reboot, only to get the same results over and over. Using verbose mode revealed that the boot process gets stuck at the line "SMC : Successfully Initialized" as shown in the screenshot followed by one or two lines of uninterpretable garbage, until I reboot.? So far I have tried infinite combinations of kernel flags, but all give the same results (except -x, which boots up OS X but then there's no graphics kext enabled). I tried changing the system definition from "Mac pro 6,1" to 5,1 and even 3,1. But still the same results.??Also as an exception, the OS boots successfully if I use "UseKernelCache=No" flag, but then the OS behaves very abnormally and becomes extremely slow, so I avoid that. Even tried deleting and rebuilding kernel cache but problem still persists.?Sometimes with some real good luck it boots succesfully, but that's pretty rare and obviously unreliable.?Can somebody please help me on this one? This is real confusing. ?Thanks System Specs :? X-Pro 450W PSU Galaxy Geforce GT 520 1GB Gigabyte GA-G41 Combo? 21.

Obrigado galera.?

  23. After about 19 hours of mucking about inside of my hackintosh, I finally was able to?get my Radeon 6990 and my GeForce 9400 to run near perfectly on 10.9.2.
