  2. Hi there to all i would like to know if i can use my Radeon (TM) 530 which has my dell inspiron 15 5570 kindly IDS
  3. I installed N{censored} Mojave just to see if it was possible. I was able to get into the os the graphics are choppy and slow. Wired network works imessage works no audio. Didn't notice if wifi works probably no. Boot time is horrible and shut down is slow. I was hoping to get a proper MB{censored} setup with the right kexts. If the RX570 would work that would be awesome but the intel working properly would be ok. I have a 970 pro installed it is seen by the os but I cant format, it always fails. Is anyone up for the challenge? Steve
  4. I installed Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard via iDeneb v1.3 on my old Dell Dimension 4600 that no longer has an GeForce FX 5200 128MB AGP and has an ATI Radeon X1300 AGP 256MB. After enough hassle of getting it to boot onto the desktop, I noticed QE/CI has been automatically enabled and works properly, but there is two problems. 1. is that it's stuck on 1024x768 2. When I move the mouse sometimes the cursor leaves a texture from a previous window or from somewhere on the screen. For one thing is that I can live with the 1024x768 resolution if I have to, but the random texture problem is pretty annoying when trying to use the OS. And also, I don't care if I'm stuck on Leopard and older programs with only 32bit support. Help would be appreciated. This machine: Dell Dimension 4600 (not the 4600i) BIOS: A02 (from around 2003) RAM: 1024MB of RAM (or 1GB) Graphics Card: Used to have an Nvidia GeForce FX 5200, but now has an ATI Radeon X1300 on the AGP slot of the machine Keyboard: HP keyboard (I believe it belonged to the HP Pavilion 7935) Mouse: Some mouse (At the moment I'm not sure about the name/brand, but it's on the USB extender connected to the back USB port) Sound: AC97 CPU: Intel Pentium 4 HT 2.8GHZ PS: Someone else had this problem (but wasn't using iDeneb) and they were suggested to upgrade to 10.5.8, but he didn't do the backup kexts and kernel and replace Mac OS X Leopard combo method from back then, thus resulting in a kernel panic upon boot with him having to reinstall Mac OS X and gave up afterwards and decided to use a different graphics card. I followed this guide (except I didn't do the Nvidia stuff because I don't have an Nvidia card anymore): https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/143610-howto-dell-dimension-4600-ideneb-os-x-1055-perfect-install/

  6. I followed this guide to try hackintoshing my laptop. Creating Install Media ✓ Changing BIOS setting ✓ Booting to the Installer When booting I do get the clover boot menu. But when i select "Boot macOS from HFS+ volume" I am just getting a black screen. Do i need extra boot arguments? Do i need a different install media for this PC? Is this PC even compatible with Hackintosh? Hope to get an answer soon!

  14. I want to put os x on a computer. I have two choices, the Dell inspirion 15 3000 series 703270, or the Hp x2 tablet pc 10-k010nr. I already talked to Hp support, and they said the hp tablet pc is designed like a regular pc so it can have bios access, run the same version of os as a regular pc would. ?THe tablet also has a keyboard and mousepad, so it dosnt need to be touch screen %100! 1.?http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/703270/Dell-Inspi... 2.?http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/488121/HP-Pavilio... Also would linux mint work in the tablet pc? Thanks. ? ? THANKS YALL
  15. My situation is really strange. I installed Windows 8.1 and Mavericks in one hard disk drive with three partitions, one for each operating system and one just for storage purpose. Since my wireless network card (BCM943142HM) is not usable in OS X, I bought a USB Wifi Adapter (TP-LINK TL-WN725N) so that I could access internet. But when I use a lot of internet bandwidth (downloading torrents) the computer freezes completely. So I decided to work heavy internet use in Windows and just specific tasks on OS X. I’ve been using my computer in this way for almost 8 months without any additional issues.? ? But recently I found somewhere that in order to stop the random freezes caused by the high internet’s bandwidth use, I had to disable Spotlight. So I did it, but the freezes continued. However I noticed that I could use the computer for a longer period of time before it froze again. ? So here is the problem. Yesterday, after some of this freezes I restarted the computer and now it beeps 8 times while booting indicating a display problem according to Dell, and the display shows up like this while booting and in Windows: ? ? ? But inside OS X the screen turns off. When I perform the display test according to Dell (holding down the D key and then pressing the Power button to turn on the computer) it shows solid colours indicating that the display panel is working correctly. Right now I’m using an external monitor connected to the HDMI port which is working correctly in both operating systems.? ? Inside OS X it’s like there is no display panel connected to the graphics adapter, and in Windows it detects the display panel as a generic monitor. ? I’m really concerned about this. I know this is not a common problem, so I would appreciate any help!

I also have a Nvidia GeForce GT 630.?I was wondering if it will work with Mac OS X and What versions of Mac OS X will it work with? I just wanted to know before I even try to install Mac OS X. It is the Core 2 Duo model. I don't plan on using both Graphics Cards at the same time. I just want to use the one that works better on Mac OS X. I just have both Graphics Cards lying around and I just want to use one of them.

  19. Hello OSx86 Community! Glad to have joined this website, since I have found a lot of information on getting my PC finally Hackintoshed.. After trial and error I managed to install iAtkos L2 successfully on my Dell OptiPlex 745.. but there are a few issues.. First I must always start up with the "-x" command in Chameleon bootloader.. or else it will give me an error "System Uptime in Nanoseconds" (and nanoseconds after it).. but that's not really the worry I have.. From what I understand, the "-x" command starts up Hackintosh in Safe Mode, which means the Video settings are not as right as they should be (don't know how to explain, basically bad resolution).. and I only get one resolution in the system settings.. (1280x1024).. I only have iAtkos L2 on the hard drive, no dual booting or any other Operating System.. I was typing this thread from my laptop with Windows 7 on it.. so I can use Windows apps to fix issues.. but there is a problem - For some reason iAtkos will only mount drives with the HFS format.. but that would mean I cannot mount it in Windows 7.. so I cannot transfer Kexts or any other files/programs ( I can't connect to the internet on iAtkos since I'm on Wifi, and the router is nowhere near my Desktop, and I don't have the Kext for it.. ).. so that's a problem.. it won't mount Fat32, nor NTFS.. it will mount my 8 GB USB with the iAtkos setup because it is formatted as HFS ( I used TransMac to put the .dgm file on the USB stick, and another USB stick with Chameleon bootloader ).. so how can I make it possible to see the contents of an USB drive on both iAtkos and Windows 7? ^^' I know I've written a lot, but here are the main issues I have - "-x" command MUST be used to startup my PC properly.. Does not mount Fat32/NTFS USB drives No Wireless driver Only one video resolution No sound.. Since I would be able to fix driver issues, I would need an USB drive which mounts on both systems, to transfer apps that I download on the laptop, and Kext files.. but I cannot do that .. PC Specs - System = OptiPlex 745 BIOS Version = 2.6.6 Intel DuoCore 6600 @ 2.40GH Bus Speed = 1066 MHz RAM - 2GB I know I don't have enough information.. urgh.. I got them from the BIOS settings.. doesn't show me more than that.. but if you want some specific specs please let me know and I'll try to look further.. So, since I wrote way too much, but it's good to give as much info as possible.. but my main question is.. how do I get my USB drive to mount on both systems.. ? Thanks.
  20. Every time I try to install Mac OS X 10.6 on my Dell Dimension 4600i, the installer hangs. I have tried a lot of snow leopard distro's and my retail copy of 10.6.3 with osx86 ModCD, iB{censored}, iB{censored} Legacy. All of them have the same problem. Here is what happens: Basically when I boot from the cd it boots fine. Then when I get to the language screen it works fine. When it get to the installer screen it work fine. But when I go to partition my HDD, it hangs. The disc spins to load disk utility, it loads. When it click to partition the HDD, it try's to unmount the disk and it can't. And the disk stops spinning. I have also tried to partition the HDD with the leopard DVD. It works. Also when I get into the installer after I partitioned the HDD. I click install and it gets to the preparing installation. Then the disk stops spinning and the installer hangs. I have also tried to use a USB drive for the install the same problem happens. I don't think it is the DVD drive. I also tried many DVD drives. They all have the same problem. Leopard works fine. I really want snow leopard to work. My specs are: DELL Dimension 4600i Pentium 4 2.66 ghz 2GB of ram. Nvidia GeForce 6200 with 512 MB of VRAM. I know that the p4 is 32-bit only. I don't care. I have seen snow leopard working on the pentium 4. What can I do about the installer hanging. Is there any boot flags I can try. It there a kernel I can try. Thank You.

  22. Bom dia, ? ? Obrigado desde já pela atenção.

This is a DSDT i have pulled and another pre-edited that i have found on InsanelyMac Model: DELL INSPIRON 530 (NOT 530s, this may work for this model but I am unsure and am unable to test it) Motherboard model: Foxconn G33M02 This is a DSDT I have found on a forum post a while back. Thanks to paranoid1 From the comments below pointing me to the forum. I believe this is where I got the DSDT from. Credits to MacNB from insanelymac for properly editing this DSDT. Here Is the original forum post. This DSDT fixes all sleep issues that I have been trying to work out with this particular motherboard. Remove all kexts relating to sleep from System\Library\Extensions and from \Extra\Extensions. (NullCPUpowermanagement.kext, Disabler.kext, Myhack.kext, sleepenabler.kext) and all should be working. (NOTE: If you installed with MyHack, make sure that there is a FakeSMC.kext in your System\Library\Extensions folder before deleting MyHack.kext) It works for the Foxconn G33M02. There are a couple of desktop models that use this motherboard so this should work on those as well however I am unsure of exactly which models. Some people have reported sound issues with voodooHDA after waking up with sleep. I have found a method to fix all of the sound issues. What you need to do is to install the DSDT first and then remove all VoodooHDA kexts and AppleHDA kexts. Fix permissions, and reboot with the flag -f. Upon next reboot the sound should not work at all. The best way to get sound working from here is to download the MB{censored} program from {censored}.net. The only thing you want to install is the sound driver. Uncheck everything and go into the drivers section. Install the REALTEK ALC888 LEGACY KEXT WITH DSDT. Reboot again with -f and all microphone ports and sound output ports on both the front and the back will be working properly and the issue with sound cutting out after sleep will now be fixed. PS. Unsure about OSX Yosemite, it is in early beta and i will make a test hack and report my experience. If you have any questions or anything let me know and I will be glad to attempt to help you.
