Hi, I have a ALC 887 audio chipset and it's not working right: I used this patch: audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0a0.command On Audio ID: 1,2: I get sound on front panel and that's it ! On Audio ID: 3: I get sound on front panel and microphone on the back panel. if I use just AppleALC patch then: Audio ID 1: I have audio on back panel but no mic on front or back panel Audio ID 2: I have audio on front panel but no mic on front or back panel Audio ID 3: No audio but mic on back panel. How can I fix the layout so at least the back panel to be fully working ? Thank you very much !
Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro1,1 Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number of Processors: 2 Total Number of Cores: 4 Memory: 20 GB OS X: El Capitan 10.11.6 Hi there I'm new to working with macs like this so please bare with me.. Used to work with pc's a lot so i'm little clued up on certain things. I just bought a ATI radeon HD 3870 512mb pc version for my mac the other day, I installed it into my mac with power cable into slot 1 where my old card was, turned it on and i'm getting no signal to monitor (stays on stand by) So I installed my old card into slot 2 and plugged my monitor into that card, when the mac booted I had the expansion slot utility pop up saying there was two cards installed and the options of performance for them both ( as shown in pictures) I also checked system information, graphics and displays and it also shows the cards being there (also shown in picture) I came across a page on this site with loads of kext's for ATI radeon but i'm not 100% sure what one i should be using if any at all and don't want to try it incase it damages the mac. can anyone please help me as i'm completely stuck on what to try next or if it will ever even work. as far as i was aware, any pc video card should work without given you a boot screen. I'm given the mac enough time to load to desktop and still nothing happens. any help would be massively appreciated. thanks
