  1. I have a PNY branded Geforce 210 graphics card in my dell optiplex 780 hackintosh. It worked perfectly up until recently. I had internet issues and ended up resetting my hackintosh entirely. After the reinstall, I can't boot with the graphics card. I should mention this is mavericks. When I boot with the graphics card in, I get through verbose mode with everything loading and the card is recognized. At this point the screen goes black and loses signal. I've literally tried everything I can find online. [Note I have found a tutorial on this before, as that's how I got it working, but after a week if searching I can't relocate it]
  2. Hello, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could direct me to where I might find a solution to the following issue. After installing ML2 onto my Sony Vaio VPCL116FX, I noticed that some images and animations will flicker. I would assume it is because my GPU is not properly installed. However, I have been unable to locate the appropriate drivers and during installation the NVIDIA 10.8 Apple drivers caused boot issues. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT240M installed. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance for your time. Best Regards, Adam
  3. Hi I need your help My system runs with Mac OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.2. The performance of my graphic card is too low (GTX 560Ti) . Cinebench benchmark is 22bps, but normally my graphic card should have between 40-50 bps. Picture of my benchmark: I activated OpenCL with this command in the terminal, but it didn´t improved the performance. sudo perl -pi -e '$c++ if s|\x8b\x87\x1c\x0c\x00\x00\x89\x06\x8b\x87\x20\x0c \x00\x00\x89\x02|\x31\xc0\xff\xc0\xff\xc0\x89\x06\ x31\xc0\x89\x02\x90\x90\x90\x90|; END { unless ($c) { warn "No substitutions made\n"; $? =1 } }' /System/Library/Extensions/GeForceGLDriver.bundle/Contents/MacOS/libclh.dylib I have installed the drivers from the nvidia homepage but it also didn´t improved anything. Is there any way to improve the performance with some .kext file? regards
  4. Good day everyone! I've got 10.7.2 running on my HP Pavilion dv7-4280us, but I"m having trouble getting graphics working. Currently it boots into OS X with the Intel graphics from my i5-480M, but without a kext, so I don't have QE/CI right now. Here's what I've gathered from the Internet so far: Because this model has switchable graphics, the only way to enable the ATI card is by modding the BIOS (I'd prefer not to mod it though) My Intel graphics have a strange device id, compared with other models of HD 3000 graphics (0046:8086, rather than 01xx:8086), and it doesn't look like people have had a lot of luck with it. Even though the system is running on Intel graphics, the ATI card may still be powered on, causing excessive battery drain. Here's what I'd like to find out: Is there a way to disable Intel graphics and use the ATI card without modifying the BIOS? If not, how can I get QE/CI working on my Intel chip? If the ATI card is still powered on, how can I turn it off? (I've heard through DSDT, but there isn't a DSDT that exists for my model) I don't expect a lot of help, since it seems nearly all other posts about this have died a miserable death, so I'll be thankful for ANY assistance I can get. Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi. I was wondering if anyone had a ATI Radeon Mobility 4650 Kext which supports display resizing? I already have one which enables me to run os x in normal mode, I used to have to run it in safe mode. Thanks, rich93.
  6. Hello everyone, I have a Asus P8P67 Deluxe B3, I7 2600 K cpu and have installed Snow Leopard. I have all but the graphics card working properly. At this point I am not sure if I can use this card or need to buy another. I have tried for several days now with kext files, plist and other methods I found in several other forums however none seem to work. I would appreciate any help Thanks Newegg.com - Palit NE3TS25EFHD02 GeForce GTS 250 E-Green 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  7. Hello all. I have some troubles with my old graphic card. A Sapphire Radeon X1600 Pro PCIe 512 MB (ID:0x71ce) On a Gigabyte GA965P Rev 1/3 Gb Ram 250GbHD/Intel Core 2 Duo 6400 2.13Ghz old hardware of an old pc. Installed with iB{censored} & MB{censored} Ethernet works, sound works but not the GPU. I had been trying with a lot of kext but not with the good one. Can someone help me with this, would be fine to have QE/CI. I'll settle for being able to change at least the screen resolution. Greetings.
  8. Keep in mind that a video card is A MUST for hackintosh to work, as long as you have supported motherboards you'll gave no problems at all (Intel HD Graphics OUT OF THE BOX). If someone would have said this in a post... things would have been easier for me. Remember, I was an amateur noob, now I'm in a mid-noobness level ^-^ Have fun guys.
  9. Hi All My PC configuration as in my signature. I am using Palit 9800 GT 1GB as graphics card. One of my friend said that if I run my PC for 2-3 day continuously the card may be damaged. It happened with him and the card's memory section was damaged. Was he right? I am using Snow Leopard 10.6.4.... I am using kexts as ? MAC_OSX_10.6.2 ? Legacy_Karnel_10.2.0 ? Chameleon_RC3_PCEFI_10.5 ? NVEnabler ? AppleAzaliaAudio ( ----> for sound ) ? EllittforceLegacyRTC ? Legacy_AHCI_SATA_FIX ? IOATAFamily_FIX ? SMBIOSResolver ? AMD But recently my card was damaged too and I had to replace it. It lost its memory chip. So my question is can OSX deatroys Palit 9800 GT 1GB Graphics card ?
