  2. Hi OSX86,I'm using a Dell All in one Inspiron 5348. It has a Pentium dual core G3240 Haswell clocked at 3.07 ghz in Mac. I've successfully booted and installed Mac Os X el capitan on an external hdd using a fake cpuid (0x0306E0) its ivybride. But my problem is the drivers. The only thing I could remotely do is wifi. I've installed the kexts for my wifi card. What I need is to install intel hd graphics (desktop) kexts and audio drivers (alc668)I've tried doing every method. Except for Ddst because I don't understand it whatsoever. Also found this thing called xcpm and was wondering if I can just spoof the graphics ids or something like that. Hopefully you guys can help me and thanks!
  3. [FAQ] Hackintosh Haswell CPU Installation and Overclocking Introduction: This is a small but valuable guide to those who are seeking to install a Haswell CPU on a hackintosh. The primary objective is to answer any questions that some may have. I could not find many answers for these questions. At least, a clear informative source. This very much applies to others intel chips. The process is all the same. For me, it was a 4790k. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can I Install a Haswell CPU without Reinstalling OSX? Yes. Very likely. I did not have to reinstall making the jump from an i5 4430 to the i7 4790k. What Do I Need to Do to Get My CPU Working Correctly? You've heard the term "speed step" or "power management" or even "Frequency Scaling". This is the power saving feature that intel has designed to decrease the frequency (thus, power consumption) when the CPU is not under load. This is fixed by generating an SSDT file (see below). If you're a novice to the subject, you may have also been confused by the terms C States and P States. Simply, the more states you have, the more power consumption levels you have. With only 1 P and C state, your CPU may only scale down to one low frequency, instead of multiple, which is how it was designed. Anyway, i'm not an expert on C/P states. As long as my frequency scales, i'm happy with that. There is a way to check P and C states, with a kext called AppleIntelInfo.kext which (if im not mistaken) was developed by PikerAlpha. Secondly, you should have the best SMBIOS profile loaded in Clover Config. For the 4790k, iMac 14,2 is the most compatible with my GTX650. iMac 15,2 gave a black screen at boot. To determine the best profile, a good rule of thumb is to select a system that uses the same CPU socket as you have, and even the same processor (if possible.) Lastly, DO NOT use NullCPUPowermanagement.kext with an SSDT! In fact, NullCPUPowermanagement.kext is an abomination to a true hackintosh. It should not be required. How to Generate SSDT? The process is easy. PikerAlpha generated a program that creates this via terminal. It is called ssdtPRgen.sh. SSDTs are then place in EFI>CLOVER>ACPI>PATCHED. The shell script can be downloaded with a quick google search. Piker's GitHUB will provide a download. The script is ran inside terminal. The ssdt file(s) export to a location designated inside the terminal window. Just pay attention to the script output. Note*****: It is best to generate an SSDT AFTER you have overclocked the system. <-- How to Confirm if CPU Power Management is Working? Download the latest Intel Power Gadget from their website and simply run it. Once it is open, view your CPU frequency chart. If it is moving up and down, you're good. If it is staying constant, it is not working and the SSDT is either not being loaded or is more likely generated incorrectly. SSDT requires no special kernel flags. But it must be installed in the right location of the EFI partition. OVERCLOCKING a Hackintosh - HOW?? There is absolutely no information on how to do this. Mostly because its the exact same process as a PC. However, theres some things you should know. About This Mac will never show your overclocked speed. Thats pretty understandable. Overclocking must be done from the BIOS on Hackintoshes Best stress test softwares for OSX are : CPUTest, Prime 95, Cinebench, and Geekbench. Monitor temps with Intel Power Gadget tool. Monitor voltages with ONLY HWMonitor. HW Monitor is accurate if fakeSMC is installed. But I do think there are some inaccuracies with the voltages. Other than that, there really is no way on OSX to see voltages and important CPU data. Let me know if this has helped. Mods, correct my info if it is incorrect. Appreciation: PikerAlpha, RampageDev, OSX86.net, InsanelyMac, others.

  6. Dear people of OSX86,? ? I have a Intel Core-4770 in combination with an Asus Z87-K motherboard. I have tried to install Mac OSX (Mavericks) several times, but the problem what I am facing is that sleep doesn't work. Bluetooth and Wifi doesn't work either. What can I do to fix this?? ? I have patched my bios with PMpatch. I also tried to use a patched mach_kernel with no succes.? Full specs: ? Intel Core-4770 ASUS Z87-K 250GB SSD Samsung EVO 16GB RAM NVIDIA Geforce 550 Ti (boot with GraphicsEnabler=Yes)? CoolerMaster 500W? Bluetooth CSR(Cambridge Silicon Radio) ICIDU Wireless PCI Card 300MBPS (think an Atheros chip in there) ? ? I have also tried to use an DSDT, but with no succes. ? Can anybody help me please? ? Thanks..
  7. My system is not capable of booting after installing 10.9.2. I have documented my successful installation process for updating up to 10.9.1?here. Once I attempt to boot into 10.9.2, it automatically reboots, no kernel panic nor indication of the cause. I'm also using the latest FakeSMC v6.0.1364.?So far, all of my remedies I have done haven't worked.? ? First, using the USB installer, I replaced the vanilla mach_kernel with the patched version in Terminal using the following code and rebooted:? cp /mach_kernel "/Volumes/NameOfOSXDisk/mach_kernel" Next I removed all of the native graphic kexts restored after 10.9.2 and transfered them into another folder in Terminal using the following code and rebooted -f: diskutil list diskutil mount /dev/diskXsY mkdir /Volumes/ NameOfOSXDisk /backup cd /Volumes/NameOfOSXDisk/System/Library/Extensions mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelSNB* AMDRadeon* ATI* GeForce* NVDA* "/Volumes/NameOfOSXDisk/backup" Next I placed the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext back into E/E and rebooted -f: fsck -fy mount -uw / cd System/Library/Extensions mv /NullCPUPowerManagement.kext "/Volumes/NameOfOSXDisk/Extra/Extensions" Next I replaced the AICPM kext with a patched version on an additional USB stick in Terminal using the following code and rebooted -f: cd /Volumes ls cd NAMEOFOSXDISK cd System/Library/Extensions ls rm -rf /Volumes/NAMEOFOSXDISK/System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext cp -R /Volumes/USBSTICK/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/NAMEOFOSXDISK/System/Library/Extensions exit ? Next I replaced the AppleRTC.kext with a patched version on an additional USB stick in Terminal using the following code and rebooted -f: cd /Volumes ls cd NAMEOFOSXDISK cd System/Library/Extensions ls rm -rf /Volumes/NAMEOFOSXDISK/System/Library/Extensions/AppleRTC.kext cp -R /Volumes/USBSTICK/AppleRTC.kext /Volumes/NAMEOFOSXDISK/System/Library/Extensions exit After attempting all of these remedies at no avail, I was forced to revert back to 10.9.1. I can not seem to successfully boot into 10.9.2 for the life of me. Am I missing anything? If anybody has this similar problem on a Haswell system and has figured out a fix to it, I would gladly appreciate you letting me know. Thanks ?
  8. Need your help guys... I recently built a hackintosh with the following specs but experienced a lot of issues (since I'm not really an expert on this) Anyway here's my set-up: OS: 10.8.5 Processor: Intel Core i7 4770K Haswell HDD: Corsair 128GB Force Series 3 SSD Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87M-D3H Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1866 MHz GPU: Asus GTX 650 (replaced my brand new Sapphire 7850 since i can't get it to work)? Wi-fi adapter: D-link DWA-125 Problems I currently experience: - Sound coming from my build is hissy and somewhat static - My computer hangs whenever I receive a call or text - switched to cabled KB since my Logitech WAVE desktop pro does not work properly? - My Logitech T620 mouse lags at times? - PC hangs during start-up - my wi-fi adapter keeps on auto-connecting to a wrong network and so i have to uninstall and install it again everytime i turn on my computer I dont know if these problems arise due to the new Haswell architechture, or i may have missed a lot of things such as installers etc Thank you very much in advance for your inputs. Regards!
