here i the latest DSDT patched for Dell 7537 Intel 4500U+intel HD 4400+1080P laptop can be used for 10.11 and (tested working) need a port injector to get USB fully functionality
  5. My situation is really strange. I installed Windows 8.1 and Mavericks in one hard disk drive with three partitions, one for each operating system and one just for storage purpose. Since my wireless network card (BCM943142HM) is not usable in OS X, I bought a USB Wifi Adapter (TP-LINK TL-WN725N) so that I could access internet. But when I use a lot of internet bandwidth (downloading torrents) the computer freezes completely. So I decided to work heavy internet use in Windows and just specific tasks on OS X. I’ve been using my computer in this way for almost 8 months without any additional issues.? ? But recently I found somewhere that in order to stop the random freezes caused by the high internet’s bandwidth use, I had to disable Spotlight. So I did it, but the freezes continued. However I noticed that I could use the computer for a longer period of time before it froze again. ? So here is the problem. Yesterday, after some of this freezes I restarted the computer and now it beeps 8 times while booting indicating a display problem according to Dell, and the display shows up like this while booting and in Windows: ? ? ? But inside OS X the screen turns off. When I perform the display test according to Dell (holding down the D key and then pressing the Power button to turn on the computer) it shows solid colours indicating that the display panel is working correctly. Right now I’m using an external monitor connected to the HDMI port which is working correctly in both operating systems.? ? Inside OS X it’s like there is no display panel connected to the graphics adapter, and in Windows it detects the display panel as a generic monitor. ? I’m really concerned about this. I know this is not a common problem, so I would appreciate any help!

This is a DSDT i have pulled and another pre-edited that i have found on InsanelyMac Model: DELL INSPIRON 530 (NOT 530s, this may work for this model but I am unsure and am unable to test it) Motherboard model: Foxconn G33M02 This is a DSDT I have found on a forum post a while back. Thanks to paranoid1 From the comments below pointing me to the forum. I believe this is where I got the DSDT from. Credits to MacNB from insanelymac for properly editing this DSDT. Here Is the original forum post. This DSDT fixes all sleep issues that I have been trying to work out with this particular motherboard. Remove all kexts relating to sleep from System\Library\Extensions and from \Extra\Extensions. (NullCPUpowermanagement.kext, Disabler.kext, Myhack.kext, sleepenabler.kext) and all should be working. (NOTE: If you installed with MyHack, make sure that there is a FakeSMC.kext in your System\Library\Extensions folder before deleting MyHack.kext) It works for the Foxconn G33M02. There are a couple of desktop models that use this motherboard so this should work on those as well however I am unsure of exactly which models. Some people have reported sound issues with voodooHDA after waking up with sleep. I have found a method to fix all of the sound issues. What you need to do is to install the DSDT first and then remove all VoodooHDA kexts and AppleHDA kexts. Fix permissions, and reboot with the flag -f. Upon next reboot the sound should not work at all. The best way to get sound working from here is to download the MB{censored} program from {censored}.net. The only thing you want to install is the sound driver. Uncheck everything and go into the drivers section. Install the REALTEK ALC888 LEGACY KEXT WITH DSDT. Reboot again with -f and all microphone ports and sound output ports on both the front and the back will be working properly and the issue with sound cutting out after sleep will now be fixed. PS. Unsure about OSX Yosemite, it is in early beta and i will make a test hack and report my experience. If you have any questions or anything let me know and I will be glad to attempt to help you.
  8. Hey all! This is my first hackintosh setup and I've hit a bit of an issue that I've been unable to solve on my own. ? First the specs: Intel Core 2 Duo P7450 @ 2.13GHz4.00GB RAMIntel GMA45320 GB Internal Hard drive (SATA)USB Drive with installerAHCI is enabled in my BIOSSystemInfo results: http://www.mediafire.com/convkey/9a2d/xdvfb1crdk73bdffg.jpg ? I've got the USB drive set up with myHack and the InstallESD.dmg from the mavericks installer app. ? After a bit of trial and error I can get the installer to boot up without any additional flags aside from -v (which I always use because verbose is nicer anyway). ? The issue is that Mavericks won't see the internal hard drive and neither does DiskUtil. It will only allow me to install on the USB drive which is full of the install stuff anyway. ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. ? EDIT: The installer is on a laptop drive almost identical to my internal one. The only real difference is the installer drive is placed in external enclosure. Switching places (installer goes in HDD bay, internal goes into USB) causes the boot to stop at "Waiting for root device". ? Meaning this is clearly a driver issue. Only I have no clue on which kexts to use, what versions, etc.
  9. hi everyone, i have installed mavericks in my dell inspiron 5520 laptop, Here is my specs: intel core i5 3210m processor 8gb ddr3 ram intelhd 4000/ amd 7670m(disabled) ? what im trying to achieve is power management for my processor, i have added these screenshot taken from intel power gadget along with some screenshots taken from chameleon wizard: you can click on the following to link to see my screenshots: http://postimg.org/gallery/2gso5p90i/ ? i'm seeing about averaging 20 watt of power consumption in my laptop, but on my friends mac book pro with the same processor, it only shows utilising avg of 5 watt of power. ? thanks in advance.
  10. Hello,? ? I have a dell inspiron N4050.? I did the following:? ? - Boot with iB{censored};? - Configured and installed Mac OS X 10.6.3 (dvd bought in apple store)? - Installed UpdateHelper? - Rebooted with iB{censored} (it starts locked, delay but unlocks)? - Installed the 10.6.8 combo update (not restarted)? - Installed MB{censored} (set easybeast and system utilities)? - rebooted? ? When it starts it stay in a gray screen forever and not get out of it.? ? If I start in the -x option keyboard does not work? ? Could you help me?? ? source of research:?http://{censored}.blogspot.com.br/2010/04/iB{censored}-MB{censored}-install-mac-os-x-on.html
  11. Hi: This is a guide for triple-booting a Dell Inspiron 17R N7110 with OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion), Windows 7x64 Ultimate, and Vector Linux VLocity (x64). I use this laptop for DJ'ing every weekend and frequently throughout the week. Interestingly enough, I've tried running my DJ software on both Windows and Mac on this laptop, and Mac runs my DJ Software way better. The latency for MIDI USB devices (controller turntables) is almost nothing with Mac, where with Windows there is a significant latency issue which makes Windows unusable for me in terms of DJ'ing. It probably doesn't help that the vendor only provides generic USB drivers for Windows, though (Numark). What doesn't work: > Sleep (don't care). Using a low-timer screensaver and InsomniaX to disable sleep. > Never tested HDMI or E-SATA (USB on that connector works though) > Function key brightness (brightness slider fix in guide) My DSDT is attached. I also attached a geekbench score screenshot. I subscribed to the thread so I can answer any questions. Chameleon doesn't see linux on the 4th partition. Therefore, all OS'es must be on partitions 1-3. That's why the OSXBACKUP partition will be on partition 4. --------------- Part 1b: Installing OSX From Snow Leopard (10.6.3) --------------- 1> install OSX 10.6.3 on OSX parition. finish to setup process as well. a> If you have "CUSTOM OPTIONS" available on the main install screen, the -ONLY- option I enabled was the PS2 option. If you don't have "CUSTOM OPTIONS", after the install is finished, try MB{censored} "PS2" controller drivers. If those don't work, check osx86.net and try drivers from there. Voodoo PS2 drivers did NOT work for me. b> these PS2 drivers should work in SL and ML. 2> After install is complete, boot with nawcom boot CD. boot into new OSX install and complete the setup process. --------------- Part 1c: Install Windows (Partition #2) --------------- 1> Install Windows 7: Boot into Windows 7 setup from DVD. Install Windows 7 on "WIN" partition. Windows partition must be formatted first (do it from Windows Setup advanced disk options). 2> On Win7 install compeltion, reboot without any bootloaders or CD's. finish windows setup process. if you can boot into windows OK, move on to next steps. --------------- Part 1d: Install VLocity Vector Linux (Partition #3) --------------- [1] Boot from setup CD [2] When setup asks for "partition drives" vs "use existing partitions", select "use existing partitions". [3] Select the partition using for Linux, mount to "/" and format as "ext2". [4] Do install. [5] When install is complete, do NOT install any bootloaders ("none" option). [6] Finish config - reboot on complete. [7] Must boot from Vector install CD to boot into system. At first boot prompt, run command "linux root=/dev/sda3" (sda3 being the new installed partition). Ignore read-only warning. [8] Go through VL configuration stuff. Reboot when finished. [9] Same as above, use VL CD to boot into system. [10] Install GRUB bootloader: > At user login screen for VL, jump to a terminal instance and log in as root. > Run grub install command: "grub-install --force /dev/sda3". For info on "--force": https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GRUB2 > Run grub config generator: "grub-mkconfig > /boot/grub/grub.cfg" [11] Reboot. Grub should boot into linux and have a menu screen now that includes linux and windows (added by default). --------------- Part 1e: Set Active MBR Partition --------------- 1> Make sure the OSX (Partition 1) is the active partition in order for Chameleon to work right. > I used windows "diskpart" to set the active partition. --------------- Part 1f: Install Chameleon (Bootloader) --------------- 1> Restart and boot into OSX (Snow Leopard) again with nawcom CD to ensure everything works. Make sure you can get into OSX without crashes / freezes / hangs. 2> Install the chameleon bootloader. Make sure chameleon can see all three partitions on bootup (OSX, WIN, LIN). OSX probably won't boot from chameleon yet. -------------------------------------------- Part 2: Copy / Transfer Important Software -------------------------------------------- At this point, you should copy / transfer over any important software that you will need post ML install. Once ML is installed, you will only be able to boot by doing safe mode, which will restrict access to external drives that are only HFS/+. If you have a way to write to a USB HFS drive (special software / another mac), then you can skip this section and do it after ML is installed. If you don't or aren't sure, you should just get software onto the system now so you don't have problems later. 1> Create a temp "software" folder on your OSX desktop. 2> Copy / transfer important software over to that folder: a> Chameleon (or your bootloader). b> a DSDT editor: DSDT - OSx86 c> a Kext installer like Kext Wizard d> drivers / hacks / MB{censored} / etc e> anything else you want ----------------------- Part 3: Create installer USB drive for OSX Mountain Lion ----------------------- 1> format your 8GB USB stick as default mac type filesystem (Mac OS Extended (Journaled)). creation single partition as Master Boot Record. ** NOTE: USB3.0 ports won't work right now - use a USB2.0 port. 2> Make folder in "/Applications" called "Install OS X Mountain Lion.app" (app package). 3> Mount mountain lion image (was named "InstallESD.dmg"). 4> Mount "BaseSystem.dmg" from inside newly mounted mountain lion image "Mac OS X Install ESD" ("InstallESD.dmg"). 5> 2 images should be mounted: "Mac OS X Install ESD" and "Mac OS X Base System". 6> run {censored} U{censored} - make sure to check "Laptop Support" or keyboard won't work on ML setup (next step). ----------------------- Part 4: Install Mountain Lion ----------------------- 1> after U{censored} is finished, patch the usb drive with nawcom "2815-OSInstall(MBR)+OSInstall.mpkg(10.8.GM)" files so that the install will work on MBR drive (2 files to overwrite - see instructions in zip). 2> reboot system using the new bootable ML USB. 3> select the USB drive from iB{censored} and enter command line options: "busratio=17 -x". a> if you get a black screen (no actual setup windows come up), reboot and try again. Sometimes I had to try a few times. 4> Press space-bar when bluetooth keyboard window comes up. Do the install. Install took about 45 minutes to an hour for me. a> screen may go wacky during install progress screen. hit an arrow key and it came back to see the install progress. ----------------------- Part 5: Fixing Mountain Lion ----------------------- After the ML install finishes, we're going to have the biggest hurdles. The video (Intel HD3000) is a pain in the ass and makes it almost impossible to boot into the system (black screen after load). I could only figure one way out to boot into the system: 1> Boot from the U{censored} USB into OSX using with options "busratio=17 -x GraphicsEnabler=no". b> **NOTE: if you installed the "legacy_kernal", you will have to boot with option "mach_kernel". I experienced immediate reboots after bootloader without specificing mach_kernel. If so, change "legacy_kernel" to "mach_kernel" in "org.chameleon.Boot.plist" "Kernel" option. 2> Move "AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext" & "ApplePS2Controller.kext" out of E/E to the Desktop. 3> Delete remaining kexts in E/E. 4> Install "AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext" & "ApplePS2Controller.kext" drivers to S/L/E. 5> Repair E/E permissions and rebuild caches. 6> Install FakeSMC + Intel drivers (listed above). 7> Install "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement" driver (listed above). 8> Open MB{censored}: Install system definition for MacBook Pro 8.1 and Core i5/i7 SSDT boot option (see above). 9> Extract / create / add custom DSDT file. 10> **IF USING 1920x1080 LAPTOP SCREEN**: add "Graphics Mode"="1920x1080x32" to "org.chameleon.boot.plist". --------------------------------------------- Part 6: 4K Advanced Sector Fix for Chameleon ** SKIP THIS IF YOU DON'T HAVE A 4K SECTOR DRIVE ** --------------------------------------------- 1> The Chameleon boot loader doesn't get installed properly by itself on "4K Advanced Sector" drives. You will see "boot0: done" and will go straight to Windows 7 (no chameleon menu). 2> The Seagate Momentus XT Hybrid SSD is a 4K Advanced Sector drive. This fix is required for chameleon to work right. 3> Follow the instructions in the post below (page 1, post #6). The post refers to "OSX Lion" but you can use your U{censored} OSX ML USB stick: Chimera and 4k HDD boot issues (I also saved the instructions to a text file with this file called "4k_advanced_sector_fix") ---------------------------------- Part 7: Install Remaining Drivers (any order) ---------------------------------- > Install "ACPIBacklight.kext" (above). > Install Audio drivers (above). > Install Battery drivers (above). > Install LAN / WAN drivers (above). > Install USB 3.0 kext > External VGA hack (above). > Any other drivers... ---------------------------------- Part 8: Create Moutain Lion Installer (Recovery) Partition ---------------------------------- Use Moutain Lion 10.8 and xMove for Mountain Lion to install the ML installer onto the OSXBACKUP partition. This will help for emergency recover situations. > Format OSXBACKUP as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" through mac DiskUtility > Mac will set OSXBACKUP as the primary partition. Use windows "DiskPart" command utility to set partition OSX (#1) to the active partition again. > Make folder in "/Applications" called "Install OS X Mountain Lion.app" (app package) - should still exist from above. > Mount mountain lion image (was named "InstallESD.dmg"). > Mount "BaseSystem.dmg" from inside newly mounted mountain lion image "Mac OS X Install ESD" ("InstallESD.dmg"). > 2 images should be mounted: "Mac OS X Install ESD" and "Mac OS X Base System". > run {censored} xMove for Mountain Lion. Install to OSXBACKUP. > Boot into OSXBACKUP from chameleon. Make sure it works. 4k_advanced_sector_fix.txt geekbench 2013-05-05 at 3.04.14 PM.png.zip

  14. Hi, Everyone! My specs are in my Signature... After getting a new laptop, I have successfully installed iATKOS 1.0i on my old Dell Inspiron E1505. I have 4 partitions: Leopard, Recovery HD (clone of Leopard), UsersHD (my Users' folder) and Time Machine (for the Time Machine app). It runs without any boot flags, but there are issues: Brightness doesn't work, even with Shades prefPane installed. Resolution is stuck at 1024x768, though the screen is capable of 1280x800. Impossible to upgrade with either Software Upgrade or Combo Upgrade. I've tried unsuccessfully a number of upgrade paths: USB (U{censored}), Software/Combo Upgrade, and most recently iB{censored} 3.3.0 with a Lion ESD (10.7, not Mountain). I need advice on where to go from here; I would be grateful just to be able to upgrade to the latest Leopard and to get higher resolution on my ATI Radeon X1300. Thanks for your reply!

  16. Hi everybody, I have a Dell Inspiron 1520 notebook, Intel Core 2 duo 2.00 GHz, 3.5 GB RAM, Intel GMA 965 chipset. Is my notebook capable of running OS X ? If so, what version of OS X should I install? And what are the kexts I should install? Thank you.
Vlw e Obrigado.
  18. Can someone help me, how to configure the BIOS and customization to get it work? I installed iAtkos ML3 (10.8.2), but it just freezes while booting (in verbose mode it stoppes at detecting ethernet address), so I think, that it's the settings of my BIOS or maybe the customization. 19. Hello everyone, It has been 10 days i am trying to install the iATKOS S3 V2 and i succeeded as well, with NO CD or USB , i managed to get into the Installation screen with flags GraphicsEnabler=No busratio=17 -x -v , when i am in the setup , my track-pad wasn't working so i used the keyboard to do everything, i was having a 500 GB of HDD with 4GIGs of RAM, on the hard drive the first 2 partitions were 1: Windows, 2: Data and the third was than formatted for MAC, i didn't knew exactly which Kernels would work, so i needed help here, anyway i installed it hoping it will work, on next reboot i would have to use my iB{censored} USB to boot into the Mac, it booted but hung on the Apple logo screen and even the -x -v flags didn't helped, can somebody guess what i was actually missing? I really need help in here! Specs: Dell Inspiron N5110 (15R) Intel Core i5 2430M @ 2.40Ghz (2nd Gen. Sandy Bridge) 500 GB HDD 4GB RAM nVidia GT525M 1G Intel HD 3000 I would be posting a full guide once i successfully get it installed Thank you everyone! If somebody wants to know how i reached installer without using USB or DVD , i am willing to tell you that as well I booted iATKOS with NO External USB/HDD or DVD!
  20. Hi, i know that somebody else talked about this in other topics but I think that my problem is different. My laptop has these specs: -Pentium Dual Core P6200 clocked at 2.1GHZ -4Gb Ram -Intel HD Graphics (neither everest managed to tell me what chip it is) Other people have problems with the boot after the installation and some others with the network, but my problem is maybe more serious: I can't manage to start the installation! I put the disc in the dvd drive which starts up, then I press "F8" to set the "-v" command for verbose mode and then nothing, the boot stop at "DMI Mapping" or something similar and then the PC reboots. My question is: how the hell i can manage to start the installation? I have to insert some other commands after "F8" or what? Thanks for your help.
  21. First off this is like a 95% - 99% complete HackBook, Netflix and Youtube are still borked! Mods please sticky or pin this, thanks. My first tutorial for installing OS X so bare with me, I will be short and sweet and as simple as possible. I do not recommend updating past 10.6.3 at the moment, software should be fine, I updated iLife and remote assistance. My Specs IDT HD Audio Intel x4500MHD Intel Core2Duo (Replaced Stock Core2Duo for VT-X Support) Not Required 4Gb Ram 320Gb HDD (Replaced Bad Stock 500Gb) Dell Wireless 1397 (Broadcom 4312) Model year 2009 Instructions Create your myHack 10.6 pen using 3.1.2 (Included). Copy Custom folder to your myHack pen, run myHack>myFix and select the myHack pen installer. Reboot and install 10.6 When prompted select custom Extra folder and navigate to the Custom folder and select Extra. Remove problematic kexts when prompted, should be only two. Once you have rebooted all should be well, copy Resolution fix or contents to Desktop and follow the README file included. Quartz Debug included, but does not seem to help with Netflix or Youtube issues, on previous install Netflix at the very least showed the media bar at the bottom of the screen. Also maybe forgot to mention, I have copied all files in my /Extra/Extensions folder to /System/Library/Extensions after deleting the original files from S/L/E. Cheers. This is my first, so please respond with any issues you have and maybe I or we could find a solution, everything here is combined from all over the web, mostly here on OSx86.net for kext files. 22. I am a noob, so anyone helping me please help me in details, im very very new to this. my problem is that I created the bootable USB and b0oted from it, after I select the usb drive the loading screen appears with the iATKos apple logo, but it gets stuck there forever, I tried the -v flag and found out that the problem is with the PS2 keyboard and Alps touchpad, I've tried different bootflags such as -ncpi=0x3000 but th it gets stuck in the alps touchpad. there is some kind of error like using blah blah . in 80000000. My laptop is dell inspiron 5520 with ivy bridge i5 processor. my touch pad is Dell Touchpad from ELANtech. can anyone please help me, what should I do now, or can it even be fixed.
  23. Hello friends! I am a new user with my hackintosh dell inspiron 530.The system is perfect, but, my dysplay not recognize the resolution up to 1440x900 even using the Graph Mode through the boot. What should I do? PS! I'm brazilian, so forgive me for grammatical errors, and I thank
  24. I have spent a great deal of time trying to work around this issue and have searched all over, but to no avail. I have a succssfull installation of Lion 10.7.3 on my Dell 1525 (dual boot with Windows 7), thanks to fusingblackrose's guide: http://www.osx86.net/10-7-lion/14385-guide-dell-inspiron-1525-10-7-3-near-perfect.html Here is what works: Sound Wi-Fi Keyboard/Mouse USB Ethernet Battery status Perfect startup without a KP Then comes my problem. I set pmsleep and removed the sleepimage as instructed. When I click on "sleep" the computer goes to sleep, the display shuts off, and everything is perfect. I press the power button (or open the lid) and it wakes right up. Now, two problems arise: 1. After a successful sleep/wake, wired networking no longer works (wi-fi does, though). I cannot re-enable it until I fully restart, then it works fine. 2. I can only get ONE successful sleep. After I wake it from a successful sleep, if I choose sleep again, it completely restarts my computer. So, I can only sleep once per start-up session and, when it does work, wired networking goes down. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance for your help!
  25. So, My default resolution is a cramped 1024 x 768, however my Laptop screen is capable of 1366 x 768. I have tried Switchresx4 but, I can't get it to work. I have also tried editing my plist file, but that had no avail. Maybe I need a driver for my specific video card. I am new to mac, especially hackintosh. This is a huge step from Linux where everything is doable in a Terminal. I know there are a few threads about this, but I feel I need one on one help with anyone who may know about this. My Computer info is in my signature, Thank you for your time.
