  1. Hi, I have had osx running for 2 weeks now, my laptop has an i5-460M, ati 5730HD video card, 6gigs of ram etc. I have sound, wireless, video acceleration working, only thing missing is speedstep and shutdown (the display stays black). I fiddled with the smbios.plist (the one with the system definition), I found in another thread that it might help get speedstep working (on a lenovo G570), but that did not work. I made a dsdt.aml using an Y460 patch list, it gave a kernel panic related to voodooHDA, removing voodooHDA just made it panic because of the IONetworking .. Is there any way to make speedstep work ? I have GenerateCStates and GeneratePStates set to yes, but MSRTools shows it running at 2.8Ghz , speedstep off .. I appreciate any help / pointers to make it work properly, thank you for your time! UPDATE : I got speedstep working by using the DSDT provided here : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=264285 I removed Ev0reboot, NullCPUPM, LegacyAppleRTC, Sleepenabler. Only thing missing now is the reboot/shutdown functionality.
