  1. Hi to everybody, after trying and re-trying to install El Capitan and Sierra on my notebook asus x55c unsuccessly, I tried with Lion and I could install and boot. Well it's not working properly because I don't have compatible drivers installed yet. This the first time I'm using a mac operative system. I tried to install a kext for my graphic card Intel HD 3000 through the Kext Utility application and it seems to work. Can you suggest me compatible kexts for my notebook and os version please? Thanks in advance! P.S. I write down here my notebook model specifications. I hope these info can be useful for you: Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 Processor Chipset: Intel® Chief River Chipset HM76 Memory: DDR3 1600/1333 MHz SDRAM *1 Display: 15.6" 16:9 HD (1366x768) LED Backlight Graphic: Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 3000/4000 (On Windows 8 x64 I use the Intel Graphics Driver V9.17.10.2875.01) Storage: 2.5" SATA 500GB 5400rpm/7200rpm Optical Drive: Blu-Ray DVD Combo (Optional); Super-Multi DVD Card Reader: 2 -in-1 card reader ( SD/ MMC) (Alcor Multi-Card Reader Driver V3.8.142.61628 ) Camera: 0.3 Mega Pixel web camera Networking: Integrated 802.11 b/g/n; Built-in Bluetooth™ V4.0 (Optional); 10/100/1000 Base T (I use the following drivers: Athros LAN Driver V2.1.0.7, Atheros Wireless Lan Driver and Application V10.0.0.221, Atheros BlueTooth driver V8.0.0.206) Audio: Built-in Speakers And Microphone (On Windows 8 x64 I use the Realtek Audio Driver V6.0.1.6761) TouchPad: (ASUS Smart Gesture V.1.0.35)

Hello, I have a Gateway NE56R10u and I have a problem with Iatkos Mountain Lion booting. it will not go past apple logo with spinning wheel, but I can hear voiceover instructions after a few minutes. My pc specs are: Intel Celeron 1.7 GHz dual-core cpu Intel integrated HD graphics 4 Gb of ram 320 GB WD HDD. Running Windows 7,8.1 and mountain lion. I used easyBCD to make it work. 6. Does anybody have solution for this
  7. Hello OSx86 Community! Glad to have joined this website, since I have found a lot of information on getting my PC finally Hackintoshed.. After trial and error I managed to install iAtkos L2 successfully on my Dell OptiPlex 745.. but there are a few issues.. First I must always start up with the "-x" command in Chameleon bootloader.. or else it will give me an error "System Uptime in Nanoseconds" (and nanoseconds after it).. but that's not really the worry I have.. From what I understand, the "-x" command starts up Hackintosh in Safe Mode, which means the Video settings are not as right as they should be (don't know how to explain, basically bad resolution).. and I only get one resolution in the system settings.. (1280x1024).. I only have iAtkos L2 on the hard drive, no dual booting or any other Operating System.. I was typing this thread from my laptop with Windows 7 on it.. so I can use Windows apps to fix issues.. but there is a problem - For some reason iAtkos will only mount drives with the HFS format.. but that would mean I cannot mount it in Windows 7.. so I cannot transfer Kexts or any other files/programs ( I can't connect to the internet on iAtkos since I'm on Wifi, and the router is nowhere near my Desktop, and I don't have the Kext for it.. ).. so that's a problem.. it won't mount Fat32, nor NTFS.. it will mount my 8 GB USB with the iAtkos setup because it is formatted as HFS ( I used TransMac to put the .dgm file on the USB stick, and another USB stick with Chameleon bootloader ).. so how can I make it possible to see the contents of an USB drive on both iAtkos and Windows 7? ^^' I know I've written a lot, but here are the main issues I have - "-x" command MUST be used to startup my PC properly.. Does not mount Fat32/NTFS USB drives No Wireless driver Only one video resolution No sound.. Since I would be able to fix driver issues, I would need an USB drive which mounts on both systems, to transfer apps that I download on the laptop, and Kext files.. but I cannot do that .. PC Specs - System = OptiPlex 745 BIOS Version = 2.6.6 Intel DuoCore 6600 @ 2.40GH Bus Speed = 1066 MHz RAM - 2GB I know I don't have enough information.. urgh.. I got them from the BIOS settings.. doesn't show me more than that.. but if you want some specific specs please let me know and I'll try to look further.. So, since I wrote way too much, but it's good to give as much info as possible.. but my main question is.. how do I get my USB drive to mount on both systems.. ? Thanks.

  13. This is a guide on how to install windows 7 and Mountain Lion or Lion onto one partition and use the Chameleon GUI boot loader to select which operating system you want. Using EasyBCD is boring and just not customizable Ive assumed you have a Windows 7 DVD and a Lion/ML Install Disk (iAtkos or U{censored}) Ive personally used Windows 7 Ultimate and iAtkos L2 Lion Install Disk You need to download a copy of Chameleon Boot loader also 1. Install Windows 7, while in the install phase, Partition 2 disks, 1 for Windows 7 and 1 for Lion 2. After installing windows 7 Insert Mountain Lion and install 3. While in the Install Phase, Create a new partition with the disk utility(the one you didnt use for windows) and format it mac journaled. install Lion and boot to desktop 3a. if you didnt use iAtkos install disk, use chameleon and install it now. it will install as an application. 4. Now you cannot boot into windows 7. No problem 4a. Reboot and insert the windows 7 dvd drive click next and select repair at the bottom left Select command prompt and type in (type and press enter after each line) Diskpart.exe list disk select disk 0 <---normally your 1 disk with two partitions, windows and Mac list partition <---- if you see 3 DO NOT PANIC, system reserved is where the windows 7 boot location is select partition <----SELECT the system reserved partition(very important, its around 100mb) active<----set selected partition as active exit<----exit the diskpart program now close the command prompt and repair the computer(1st option) once repaired you will boot into windows! tadah windows is fixed. rename your hard drive in my computer to Windows(you will see why later) but you cant boot back into mac? once you are back in windows click start>and in the search bar type cmd>enter type and press enter after each line diskpart.exe select disk 0 select partition <-----select MAC partition(it wont show the names but you can differentiate from the sizes of the partition) active exit now restart ANNNNND chameleon should come up with 3 options system reserved windows mac Press system reserved to boot to windows, and mac to boot to mac TO FIX it to just TWO options Windows or Mac DO NOT RENAME SYSTEM RESERVED AT ALL! YOU WILL MESS UP THE BOOTING OF WINDOWS DO NOT RENAME SYSTEM RESERVED AT ALL! YOU WILL MESS UP THE BOOTING OF WINDOWS boot to mac Click mac hard drive on desktop OR finder >extras>org.chameleon.boot.plist <---copy this file to desktop AND make a back up copy somewhere EDIT the org.chameleon.boot.plist in the desktop BY right clicking and opening with text edit application add <key>Rename Partition</key> <string>"System Reserved" Windows 7</string> to hide useless windows 7 hard drive <key>Hide Partition</key> <string>"Windows"</string> once that is done, save it and copy it back to where the original org.chameleon.boot.plist is on. once that is done REBOOT! and you can down beautifully dual boot and select between windows 7 and Mac Lion/Mountain Lion! congrats!
  14. My problem is this. I have a supported Mobo, (Eclipse SLI X58) but on accessing the installer, I see absolutely none of my hard drives. I used the MBR patch, but from past experience it's nothing to do with that, as in order to tell me to use the GUID partition scheme, OS X has to acknowledge my Drives' existences first. Why is this happening?

  18. I have successfully installed N{censored}'s MAC OS X 10.7.3 Lion for any pc/Amd,the dvd.iso installer on my desktop pc system from the first. No any boot flags options needed.Everything worked from the first and successfully updated to 10.7.5 through software update. The only thing I needed after was to edit the mac's menu entry in Ubuntu's grub2 to be able to boot it,side-by-side with Ubuntu Linux and Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
  19. Hello world. OK, so I have been trying to install 10.7.3 on my computer... But I can't get to the install, or GUI for that matter. Now, this is not my first time hackintoshing. I'm going to spare the long story, but... AMD hackintoshing is a 'process'. I've successfully installed Snow Leopard (10.6.2, took a few days), and haven't successfully installed Mountain Lion... So, I boot from the DVD, and it says something along the lines of "Press any key to boot, or F8 to define boot options"... Something like that. Anyway, I press F8, and type in: "Kernel Cache"=\amd arch=i386 -v And it starts loading, and then reboots. It doesn't even reach the console. It just instantly reboots. If I don't type anything in, and press enter, it waits for about 2 seconds, the screen flashes white, and it reboots. I've tried removing the graphics card, removing ram, GraphicsEnabler=no, npci=2x000.... And my BIOS settings are as accurate as they get. I don't have the option to set the sleep state to S3, and no AHCI option. I have my SATA mode set as 'Native IDE Mode'... HPET is enabled. Any ideas? Thanks. Specs: HP DC5750 AMD Athlon 64 X2 +4000 4 GB RAM (4 1GB sticks) Nvidia GT520

  21. Alright folks, after lots of posts (flooding yay ), hours and hours of researches and attempts, it seems like I am about to win this battle.. Yes I can say I pretty much got most of the hardware working thanks to you guys, and thanks to the whole beautiful hackint0sh community. Just in case anyone is wondering I used myHack to install Lion on my Vaio, and believe me its been a real pain in the ass to just get the installation image to boot up and actually start. I will might write a guide later on. So here's the point of the situation updated to 07/04/2012 What is working: Camera: Work OTB with Apple_iSight.kext HDD: Native DVD: Native GPU: ATI HD 5650 working in full resolution & QE/CI with forced EDID and Chamaleon RC5 rev2015 Audio Audio is now working with VoodooHDA which I patched for ALC269 and specific soundcard ID PS2 / mouse / keyboard: Working thanks to this guy here USB: Working with USBBusFix=Yes Battery %: Working with VoodooBattery Lion Bluetooth: Work OTB, however other devices won't see it even if set as discoverable What is not yet working: Sleep: Still not working. About this mac crash: It seems to be a well known issue and AppleSMBIOS.kext should fix it, however I didn't find one working for me I will update this thread as something new comes along.

All you need to get your 6510b working with Lion 10.7.5 I used the 10.7.2 installer, updated to 10.7.5 So, lets say you install 10.7, you can install 10.7.5 update and apply the pack. Patched DSDT, the Chameleon configuration works fine, I would leave it as it is, running two months without any errors/KP, almost always on. Everything works great, exept sleep, as always, but its possible to get it working, I just never bothered, I don't use sleep anyways, my laptop is always on. This pack includes everything to get it working smoothly. Copy the contents of Extra folder to your Chameleon Extra folder and the S/L/E folder contents to /System/Library/Extensions, replace the anything what already exists, rebuild kext cache and reboot. (After reboot you can remove "Dont Steal Mac OS X.kext" from Extensions folder and rebuild kext cache again, AppleDecrypt.kext does its job now, faster. Can be used on any Lion system.) Backlight also works. WIFI works, I use a different WIFI card than the stock one, Google for 6510b wifi whitelist BIOS and replace the BIOS with the modded one to allow any WIFI card to be used. Graphics work, never freezes, no KP. So this also includes working driver for X3100 (0x2a02), without mouse lag, random freezes or KP's. Extract all the AppleIntel* files and try, should work on any X3100 (But it may require working and tweaked powermanagement/speedstep, witch can be a reason for freezes.) Cheapest and best working hackintosh...hackbook I ever had. (:
