  1. Not a super expert in hackintoshing ? Been struggling with my audio cannot get a sound out to save my life tried just about everything i could, many kexts from all over ? not sure if i'm really doing the right thing ? clean Installed ML with MyHack No DSDT Absolutely smooth everything is working except the audio ? Has anyone any experience with this MB under ML 10.8.5 ? Thank you G. ? ?
  2. When I was on 10.8, I managed to get audio working by running MB{censored} 4.6.1 and installing these two kexts Drivers & Bootloaders>Kext & Enablers>Audio>Realtek ALC8xx>Unified Device Injector>ALCxxHDA for Legacy ALC888 and ALC888b/887 Drivers & Bootloaders>Kext & Enablers>Audio>Realtek ALCxx>AppleHDA Rollback But after I updated to 10.8.3, I lost audio. I tried reinstalling the same kexts but still getting no audio. Does anyone have any recommendations? Also, for those looking to get ML up and running on this mobo, try these instructions: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WbIOawSY4f-67-I1qfzsuobxlWZ0xcA1fGDsTRzCrwM/edit Unfortunately, as mentioned, 10.8.3. doesn't have audio and the guide hasn't been updated. Thanks.
  3. I have ALC898. I tried: install with MB{censored} - no result. Downloaded kext from this site , installed with kext utility - no result. System info shows nothing, they are not there. I also installed Voodoo2.80 before that, because i have them both (Realtek and HDintel) so i don't know which one to use, but in Win HDI does't work ether. The thing is, i can see Voodoo kext in sysinfo, but no AppleHDA, and HDAEnabler898. And even if i have a suspicion that voodoo somehow interferes with other kext, i don't know how to unistall it, i've searched the web for some tool, but there are so much beyond my understanding, that i gave up to those who know what they are doing. I have completely no experience with mac at all. I rebooted, plugged headphones everywhere, i don't understand what i need to do. ========================================= Solved ========================================= Well, for those noobs like me - this is how it works. Kexts are like small drivers. Kexts need to be installed, this is done by tool called "Kext utility", it does not only install them properly, but does some background stuff i don't understand, but it's obvious it is necessary. You must install kexts for your audio with this program. Next, if everything is messed up and you like me installed many kexts, and nothing works, you need SR Tools. There you can find and ENABLE/DISABLE kexts. This is awsome, i was able to disable all kexts with HDA in name, and then enable them one by one. But! You must enable all those that come in packs at once, or you lose dependencies. Also, i think you need to run Kext Utility every time you turn on/off your kexts, so it does it thing, just before you reboot system. At this point you have all instruments to make it work, all you need to do is try different configurations, settings in system settings sound menu, plug everywhere your headset, etc. Wish you good luck.
  4. Hey guys, I don't have any audio coming through my output devices. Works through my USB Logitech headphones though. Installed Snow Leopard this morning and updated to 10.6.8. Audio worked when it was in 10.6.6. I tried running multi-beast again but still does the same thing. I went into S/L/E and deleted AppleHDA, ALC8xxHDA888 and ALC8xxHDA in extras and re-ran multi-beast with with no effect. Any ideas what I can do? If you need any more info or screenshots just let me know. Thanks for any help. Edit: Just tried the AppleAzaliaAudio.kext didn't work. Edit 2: I re-ran Multi-beast and instead of choosing ALC888 I chose Voodoo 2.7.2 (or something like that, it was the last one.) and that worked. Intel DG41TY Motherboard btw incase someone in the future needs it.
  5. I'm still fairly new to Hackintosh and this is my first build, so any help would be appreciated. First, this is what I'm running: Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 with F9 BIOS Intel i3 2125 Integrated graphics HD3000 4GB 11333 MHz RAM (Would like to use 8GB once I get it running) The Problem(s): In a nut shell: • No Audio (No output devices found) • No Quicktime • No HDMI or VGA video support (will only display using DVI) The long end of it: I have tried installing both Snow Leopard and Lion hoping I could get one of them to work. I can install both, but I can't get the audio to run in either. Under system preferences/sound it says there is no output device installed. Snow Leopard was updated to 10.6.8 (but, has a problem loading—I have to put the system to sleep with the power button and then wake it to show the desktop once it's loaded. I also noticed in the install, it never runs the "welcome video") and Lion was 10.7.3, which seems to load just fine without iB{censored} minus sound. I've tried for days different combinations of Kext files and DSDTs (including altering some of the DSDT code based on several tutorials) to no avail. I should also mention, Quicktime doesn't work, but from everything I've seen in these forums, this is more than likely caused by my audio issues. The only other thing, which may or may not be related is that DVI is the only output I can get to work. Both VGA and HDMI don't work. I'm wondering if I have something set in the BIOS wrong? I used the basic settings suggested by {censored}, but wonder if I need to adjust something else. I've done a clean install several times for both OSs with nothing changing. I've thought about getting a cheap USB audio card, but I'm not sure this will clear up my other problems. Again, any help would be great, this build is actually for my girlfriend (which is not very happy at the moment) who couldn't afford to buy a Mac. I'm hoping if I get this fixed I'll update from my current iMac to an i7 build. Thanks.
  6. Im runnign 10.7.1 and everything else is working fine but audio is still missing computer is HP dc7800. I tried one of the voodoohda and kernel paniced
