Bluetooth Re-Enabler after 10.8.5 Update The 2 kexts (IOBluetoothHIDDriver.kext & IOBluetoothFamily.kext) are from OSX 10.8.2 with version 4.1.2, they fixed my bluetooth problem for me in OSX 10.8.5. After last 10.8.5 update these 2 kexts where updated to version 4.1.7, this gave several issues with my internal Bluetooth device on my Lenovo T61 ThinkPad. I wasn't able to use Bluetooth in OSX anymore!! But these 2 kexts from 10.8.2 worked fine for me! Drag and drop these two kexts into Kextutility or install manually.. Reboot.. Good hack!! ProtocolX™
  4. ? hi there, I hope I have posted this in the correct place.? ? I am having a great deal of trouble with my hackintosh that I have recently built. I have got the apple side of things installed on a separate hard drive to my windows, and that all works fine, give or take a few minor errors. the trouble that i am having now is that my windows 8 side that is on a different internal hard drive is just giving me errors after errors. ? here are some of the symptoms: - unable to load itunes, the icon on the task bar appears if it loading up and then stops and goes back to how it looked if i hadn't clicked it. - norton 360, once clicked it instantly says 'Norton 360 has stopped working'. - unable to load most of my apps, music, video, etc. the loading page appears with the symbol for about 5-10 seconds and then goes back to my start screen. - unable to open pc settings. i wanted to carry out system restores, however like my app, it displays the cog symbol, then after 5-10 seconds goes back to the start screen. - unable to run trouble shooter, displays an error message saying it ran into a problem, therefore i have to close. ? these are just some of the symptoms i have when i am able to access windows. ? getting onto this screen is very difficult. when i start my computer, i have to access the boot options, and then select the option called Windows Boot Manager. for some reason this has been partitioned on my mac os HDD (mavericks), however when it loads it launched my windows side, and obviously runs my windows drive. if i am successful, i can type my password in and i am greeted with my start screen. alternatlively i sometime encounter a message saying: ? The User Profile Service failed the sign-in. ? The remote procedure call failed and did not execute. ? i then select OK, and the login screen appears a second time. this time if i type my password in and enter, i am usually greeted with what seems like the installation process for windows. it says stuff like 'Hi' and 'Getting Your Apps Ready'. i have followed this through to no avail, and it simply reboots my machine. ? to get around this i have managed to install my Windows 8 installation DVD, selected the advanced options and entered command prompt. from here i have typed in bootrec/fixmbr. at this point i reboot my machine, boot from the Windows Boot Manager partition and that usually allows me to access my desktop. ? If i was to boot from the HDD that windows is installed on, i get an error message saying; 'No operating system was found' and then it says to press ctrl, alt and delete to restart my computer. ? when i boot from the windows 8 DVD, i also have the ability to refresh my pc or even restore my pc. i have attempted to run both of these to no success. i get errors messages saying the drive you have selected is locked. please unlock it, etc. ? now i am completely stuck??? my mac side is fine, and i can access that by inserting my Uni****t?USB and selecting mavericks from the list. however i need my windows side working. ? If anyone knows how to resolve trhis without losing my data i will be truly thankful if not, i will have to simply reformat the drive and re-install windows i guess? im not sure how to do this though?? ? many thanks in advance, and please can someone help me with these issues!
  5. Hey guys, so..my name is Saar and I'll start from the beginning, I have 4 years old hackintosh, it's on mavericks since day one. Last week I tried to mount my Ubuntu drive into my hackintosh via "macfuse" and "osxfuse" without any luck. Anyway, I?decided?to uninstall those addon package from my filesystem via system settings, then the "Disk Utility"?couldn't power up, so.. I restarted my hackintosh, but my chameleon bootloader couldn't show up, now i'm running my Ubuntu with no way booting up my hackintosh.. ? I don't really know anyone with a real mac or hack in my neighborhood or any of my friends..? ? That's pretty shame I have no backup USB or something like boot disk only for that kind of trouble. What would you suggest my to do? Any help will be accepted by me, Thanks in advance.? ? Intel Core2Duo E6320 1.86GHZ (Historic) 4 GB RAM Intel DP965LT mobo Readon 6800HD? DSDT.aml file (blue label) for Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M 128 MB GPU, but might work also with other NVIDIA Quadro Mobile GPU’s.. (I’ve included DSDT’s for other T61 models with other Quadro GPU’s) DSDT FIXES: - Graphics is enabled in DSDT, so you don’t need GraphicsEnabler=Yes flag in Chameleon’s org.chameleon.Boot.plist file anymore.. Also Dual / Mirror Screens works native now! - Brightness slider is also enabled in Display prefpane in System Configuration by this DSDT.. - Bluetooth should work ok also by DSDT, even after sleep!! (Although not deep tested yet..) - Shutdown also fixed by DSDT.. This wasn’t working correctly either in Generic DSDT yet.. - Sleep should fully work.. At least by hardware keys by Lenovo (Fn+F4) at 1st sleep, a little hackintosh trick.. After the 1st wake-up, OSX will enable sleep automatically by default methods.. - This DSDT will keep bluetooth alive after wake.. What was for me 1 of the annoying things on this Hackbook for a while besides the internal microphone dropout after waking.. - Sound isn’t yet enabled by DSDT but the VoodooHDA kext is edited to keep fully operational also AFTER SLEEP!! - By DSDT Full native P- and C- States Throttling with SMBIOS.Plist MacBookPro 6,1 Profile and edited AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext.. - Full FAN cooling control by pressing Blue ThinkVantage™ button! Press one more time to disable full FAN mode.. (Credits DSDT settings, Thinkpad forums) - Closing lid of laptop should also resulting in sleep mode.. After 1st hardware sleep (Fn+F4) by Lenovo at least.. For other T61 models with different CPU’S / GPU’s OR OTHER HARDWARE TRY USE GENERIC DSDT INSTEAD This DSDT.aml file contains only general fixes like proper USB detection and Bluetooth detection etc.. Graphics isn't enabled by Generic DSDT.. Or you can try one of the other DSDT files.. ALSO CHECK: http://www.osx86.net/files/file/3720-lenovo-thinkpad-t61-7665-dn3-perfect-hackbook-bundle/ This contains everything you need to make T61 a real HackBook Pro!
  9. Hi, This is not really a guide literally, actually this is a success story. But I've named it as some people may google it n find it useful. As I've googled for this n landed on irrelevant posts. I'm not a developer/hacker/anything close to it. I'm a musician and I know the hardcore details of a operating system is almost 'limit tense to ZERO'. I usually be online very rarely. My hackintosh performing superb (rock solid), thanks to osx86.net, Nawcom, Iatkos, Chamelion, Apple and many other communities and people for their valuable downloads and posts. 1. My hardware, a. Processor - AMD FX 6100 (Socket AM3+) b. Motherboard - ASUS M5A78L-M-LE (780G Chipset) [update 9/5/2013: Successful on motherboard ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3] c. RAM - 4GB DDR3 (1600,corsair) d. Graphics - ATI Radeon HD 5450 (PCIe, 1GB VRAM) [update 9/5/2013: Successful with ATI Radeon 6450 (1GB) and ATI Radeon 6670 (2GB)] e. 500GB Segate HDD n Samsung SATA DVD RW 2. OS Used, Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 (may be 10.6.0) retail DVD 10.6.8 Combo update downloaded from Apple support 3. What've I used (Hackintosh/osx86 things) to install it, a. Nawcom's mod CD (an older version, Probably 0.3.2) b. Iatkos S3 V2 10.6.3 installation disc c. Chamelion wizard d. Chamelion v2.0 rc4 r684 bootloader e. Nawcom's legacy kernel Installer 10.8 all of these available in here at osx86.net, f. GParted live CD (A small linux distro for partitioning) 4. What I've done, I'll first describe the final successful procedure, then I'll discuss about previous stumbles. a. BIOS Setting: i. legacy support for USB=Enable and Speed=Full Speed ii. Boot priority DVD first then HDD iii.SATA controller mode AHCI for all ports iv.CPU unlocker mode=Disabled v. CPU core = 6core on manually. b. Deleted all partition using GParted live CD. c. Installed OS X 10.6 using modbin_kernel from Nawcom's mod cd [code "rd(0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel"] d. Swapped the installer DVD with iAtkos S3 V2 DVD during reboot waited for chamelion screen and pressed F8 on it chosen boot from Hard disc installation and completed installation by filling form. d. Updated using 10.6.8 combo offline installer downloaded from apple support (DO NOT REBOOT otherwise you never can boot it again) e. Installed Chamellion v2.0 rc4 r684 using Chamellion wizard, this is the only successful bootloader for my system, Newer not compatible.I've tried 23 bootloader, 16 of which are chamelion but only 1 succeeded, this is the bootloader used in iAtkos DVD thats why I've to boot it with iAtkos instead of Nawcom after installation. f. Installed nawcom's legacy kernel 10.8 package for osx 10.6.8 g. Crossed fingers n Rebooted. Hooray! I'm on a desktop of OS X 10.6.8 Mac Pro. All components working smooth no kernel panic no-nothing wrong, just recognised cpu as unknown which I do not care about. All other Mac Professional Softwares running smoothly no problem at all.
  10. Hello folks, Lets begin saying that I have been a mac user for the past 7 years now, but for money issue I had to sell my macbook pro last month and at some point I am really missing OSX, especially when it comes to audio and video editing. I have got this Sony Vaio VPCEB3M1E where I am running ubuntu on it, which is working alright, but it'd be really nice if I could get either Snow Leopard or Lion to work on it. I am totally new on the Osx86 scene, so I will try to provide as much hw info as possible. It's an Intel Core i3 370M / 2.4 GHz with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 gpu, and the chipset should be Intel HM55 Express. But I couldnt find any info about the rest of the hardware. So my question is, is my laptop at least 80% osx86 capable? Should I go with Snow Leopard or straight up with Lion ? What wont work? And which distro should I download? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks
  11. Hi there, My name is Marshall. I recently downloaded ideneb 1.4 burned it on a disk and wiped out all operating systems on my pc and installed ideneb. Now i tried booting up and it showed that i need to restart my computer twice so i booted in debugging mode and i notice that its a kernel panic. As i am fairly new to osx86, i cannot make out what the problem here is. Also while installing osx86, i choosed a lot of drivers, a lot of those which i didn't need i guess but i did not select any kernels since i wasn't sure. Just thought you should know about that. Here is a picture of the screen :- http://i.imgur.com/mfWhl.jpg Its a bit difficult to see cos i dont have a good camera.
  12. Does anyone have the actual URL for the Kalyway distro website/blog/whatever??? Thanks!
  13. Hey guys, So ive followed the tutorial to a tee (http://www.osx86.net/desktops/9746-guide-os-x-10-6-amd.html) only problem is when i boot after the installation i get a panic, "panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2af8eb)" it also mentions some stuff about Voodoo. any ideas? My System specs are in my Signature LOL, i have to post in order to show my new signature...
  14. Hey guys, sorry to sound like the other thousands of people on here but im having some issues... ok heres my specs.. AMD Phenom II 955 running at 3200MHZ with busratio of 16 MSI NF980-g65 Motherboard 4GB DDR3 1TB of correctly partitioned HD space Nvidia GTX 570 Im going to Slam heaps of info below if you need it... changed my Raid from IDE to AHCI Installed snow Leopard using "-v cpus=4 busratio=16" selected my primary/active partition of "50GB" and formatted with the appropriate format (journaling etc..) installs fine however.... When i Boot it gets stuck just after giving my Mac address... Any ideas? Anyone got any experience with a similar setup to my own? Any Knowledge on the right drivers i should be using?
  15. Hello. I upgraded to 10.6.8 and now my graphic is broken :-( after upgrading, my hackintosh booted until "DSMOS ARRIVED" and then restarted. After many hours i found out, that NVDANV50Hal.kext was the reason for this. i deleted it and was now able to boot in vesa mode. i tried NVinject.kext, EFI-Strings and many other drivers etc... The Card was detected but not running in higher resolutions than 1024x768 and QE/CI don´t really work... after installing the IOPCIFamily.kext and the AppleACPI*.kext, i was able to boot with the original Nvidia kexts an my display showed native resolution! but instead of the usual desktop, there was a mixture of red and blue colors :-( i think it is not a big deal to fix that, but i don´t know where to start maybe change a few strings in IOPCIFamily od NVDANV50.kext ? Thanks in advance
  16. I'm about to purchase a MB from Newegg. Sure there are plenty of hardware guides, DSDT databases, user experiences, etc. Yet, I have not found a list telling me what might be the best board for my money that will require the least amount of patching to be 100% functional. I am comfortable with installing my current OSX86 system using iB{censored} + MB{censored}. I'm looking for something that plays nice with an i5 and is at a medium price point. Any suggestions?
  17. Hi I'm new in this forum an I need your suggestions. Which osx86 version should I use, and which settings are good for me. Which components(kexts-driver) should be chosen. I tried to install iatkos a several months ago but I failed:( (Sorry My English is not very well so may be which I write is funny for you:S)
  18. Hi, i am a newbe on Mac software so please don't mind if i use any wrong grammer for software and hardware related topics. I have searched quite a bit on this topic to install OSx86 Leopard on my PC, i am quite fluent on the commands of a pc but not so much on Mac software. Dell optiplex gx270 2 gb ram and onboard graphic card CPU-z tells me i got MMX, SSE (1,2) downloaded 2 copies so far with simple straight forward instructions. and burned them both separate times trying to install Leopard by using Nero - Burning as image i disconnected my original windows harddrive and installed a 40Gb IDE HDD Samsung booted the comp with dvd and apparently 'patches' are installed with the software first time cd - came to mac os installation done and comp restarted, did the following commands on terminal: cd .. cd volumes cd PATCHER ---- which was suppose to my pen drive as for the instructions but didnt get to it as error on terminal keeps coming 2nd cd advised commands must be put before installation in Mac installation screen... so went to terminal and did the following commands and it worked with partition 'Leopard" made already under mac x extended (journal) but with some errors in process.. restarted the comp and suppose to wait until the countdown of mac install stops and loads up... but error "" system config file '/com.apple.boot.plist' not found "" tried the -v and the enter and the -x and the -v -x My question on this topic is that i want to make a full installation so i can play around with Xcode and learn more on the process... if someone can help me where and why all these new names are used and a full step by step process defining all the names i never have heard in the process it will definately help me learn about this.. - .kexts - how to do patches and what are they - commands to actually patch the mac - is it gonna be in - VMware why use that instead just Mac on a new harddrive - SSE2 SSE3 - mac kernels???? - and so much more that im clueless on... i am still reading on the rest of the stuff and gonna keep trying and hopefully succeed soon.. but a full installation instructed with a link of the file chosen to download would be helpful as there are sooo many diff ones. PS: thanks for reading i know i wrote alot but i been fiddling continuously on this for the last week... and no luck
