  1. I have installed 10.12.6 on my Dell Precision M6400. I have 2 problems with it which I think are DSDT related. I have changed hibernatemode to 0 and removed hibernate file. I am attaching my DSDT. I have tried applying shutdown and shutdown v2 patches for laptops available in MacISL, individually to this DSDT but it didn't do anything for me. Problems: 1) Shutdown blanks the screen, but does not turn off computer 2) Sleep works with FN+F1, leaving it idle, or using Menu to chose sleep, BUT not by closing lid of laptop Appreciate any help. I have tried everything I could :-( dsdt.aml

    Shutdown problem

I'm running a mountain lion in asus X66IC and I have a CPU shutdown problem. I can reboot and shutdown perfectly The OS. but the fan and the lights of the laptop stays on, so I have to push the power botton for 5sec to turn it off. I had the seem problem with lion. I have the Evoreboot.kext and I used dsdt auto patcher to patch my DSDT from olarila.com. maybe I have to add some lines to my DSDT? DSDT.aml.zip
  4. Hi guys I have sucessifull installed iDeneb 1.5.7 on a old HP ZD8000 laptop. It works fine, but only for a couple of minutes!!! The the computer hard-shutdown, apparentely without reason. I have no idea what to do, in the system.log there is not trace of this fact... Please Help.
  5. I've been experiencing a bad power on after a shutdown or a cold boot. What happens is that, after shutting down my PC from the OSX, I'll first get stuck on the grey screen (after the Apple logo), when I hard restart, the PC would then turn off and on and off and on until I either power off from the PSU or pull the plug. I've checked my BIOS and saw that sleepstate is in S3, CPU C states are Enabled, HPET is at 64bit. I'm looking at the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, not sure if I was able to install it, but what do I know - I'm a n00b. I'm trying to learn as I go along. I'm not even sure if those I checked in the BIOS will have an effect on the problem I am currently experiencing. It's an otherwise perfect 10.7.3 install using N{censored}, until the problem I outlined above. Any help will be appreciated.

  7. Hello, I have an issue when i try to boot into OS x, i think it's a problem with shutting down. When i'm shutting down, everything looks normal.. and my laptop powers off (ofcourse. Ghehe) But, the next time i want to boot my system, it goes into the bootloader, and after that i get the gray screen with the apple logo. And then it happens: I'm getting a gray box in my screen wich tells me to hold-down my power button until my laptop shuts off, and after that i have to push the button again so it powers on. The second time he's booting normal, and no errors or anything else. I think the problem is when i'm shutting down the OS x system. (Maybe he is shuttding down the wrong way or something?). Does anyone have a solution for this?. *Sorry for my bad english again. EDIT: I'm running iAktos. Snow Leopard, version: 10.6.8
  8. Hi, I've got pretty much everything working on my N61JQ Asus Laptop - Mouse, Keyboard, Bluetooth, Wireless, Ethernet, Sound, etc.. (Apart from Graphics) But Im having problems with my power :/ I could care less about using sleep so I just disabled it, but when I try to shutdown from SL, the computer gets as far as a blue screen and then just halts, I have to hold my power button for 5 seconds to force shutdown. Restart works fine though - The kexts I've tried are Ev0Reboot and OpenHaltRestart Any suggestions?
  9. Hi, I installed the snow leopard on my pc Dell XPS M1530. I have used the method Efi Empire and after the installation I updated to 10.6.5 Combo Update package and I installed the package MB{censored}. Theme drivers have not had any problem I've caught the all, the issue is that I installed the patch to fix the problem evoreboot off and restarted but I still have the problem that when I give any of the stuff stays on black screen and hence does not come out. Someone knows why this can happen? Evoreboot is compatible with 10.6.5? Thanks wink.gif
