  2. after processor upgrade sierra is very unstable

So my hackintosh rig that ran almost perfectly on Sierra, with an i3 2120, was upgraded with an i7 2600k. Since then, it has been extremely unstable. A lot of times it wont boot, it will either KP out, or just shut down. Clover tends to freeze when I select 'boot verbose' so I can see whats going on. When it does boot, sometimes it works fine, but then within a couple of days it will start freaking out...email wont open due to a network issue, it wont load pages saying the dns is incomplete or whatever message. It did this after I overclocked to 4.4GHz, so I figured it was not liking the OC. okay, so I set it back to stock and it ran ok for a little while, then started doing the same things. I have nullcpupowermanagement.kext installed in the clover kexts folder for 10.12, but it loads intel anyway, and throttling does work... SMC sensors. This morning I started to do some homework, and it started not connecting and lagging bad. So I rebooted it, and it wont boot. I pulled the power plug out and held the power button for 30 seconds, just in case. Still wont boot. Tried multiple times, and wont boot. It keeps shutting down when it gets to the last part before the graphics load. So I think I have it narrowed down to the graphics.... but what I don't get is why its doing this all of a sudden. specs Asus P8Z68V-LE motherboard Intel i7 2600k 3.5GHz (don't have it overclocked unless I'm gaming in Windows) 24GB DDR3 memory Mac OS Sierra 12.12.3 ( I believe, cant boot it to check, it could possibly be .4) on a Samsung 120GB SSD CLOVER bootloader Windows 10 Professional on a 120GB Kingston SSD Geforce GTX 570 1GB even overclocked, after running Prime 95 all night, the highest temperature it hit was 67c, so at stock speeds I know that it is not overheating or anything. Thinking it needs a reinstall of Sierra, as the OS was a reimage from a test hard drive I installed and configured it on. Thoughts?

  5. Hello! I recently successfully installed Mac OS Sierra on my Toshiba laptop (P755 10D). All works well except for the fact that my video card - Nvidia GT 540M is recognized with just 384 vram although it has 1GB. I used this kext that made the OS recognise my hard as GT540M and not HD 3000 see the image -> https://ibb.co/djYMaF . Does anyone know how I can increase the video ram?
  6. Hello, I've successfully installed macOS Sierra (10.12.5) on my Lenovo Thinkpad x220i (2011). I followed the x220 mcdonnelltech guide which I had to remove AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle kext as it prevented the os from booting up. Everything is working fine except the brightness (which I fixed via the guide) and QE/CI is not working. The dock is not transparent and images are failing to load in screensaver and I'm experiencing lags/delay in launchpad. I'm using all of the stock Intel graphics kexts except AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle. How do I enable full QE/CI acceleration in Intel HD 3000? I believe that it could be achieved if I manage to get AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle working but, I absolutely have no idea how (It shows white apple logo with a loading bar that is stuck on 0%, verbose mode shows nothing related to the problem. ). I also tried various patched Intel graphics kext which had no effects . The problem may lie in the config.plist, dsdt or the bios setting. My Specs: Intel HD 3000 Graphics 384mb Vendor: Intel (0x08086) Device ID: 0x0116 Revision ID: 0x0009 Resolution: 1366 x 768 Intel® Celeron® CPU 847 @ 1.10GHz smbios: MacBook Pro 8,1 clover: config.plist and dsdt are from the mcdonnelltech guide Any help would be really appreciated!
  7. The installation is stuck on the apple. The computer ,acer aspire v5-561g cpu intel i5-4200u @1.6ghz cards intel hd (probably 3000) with amd R265 (see more specs, see next) i prepared the usb with imagewriter / transmac (tried various options) burned the sierra operating system The config.plist is not updated and the kext also and probably also other files .aml etc, The question is how to prepare the config.plist to that computer?? yet also how to prepare the kext files and the .aml files?? software like hackintush vietnam, do not work on windows i checked this and other websites and other forums and the conclusions, to create to config.plist from scratch and also the other files, yet i need the software to work with to create these files to this particular computer or files from such computers that work any reply can help thanks and best-r8!!! ,
  8. Hi I need help installing Mac OS Sierra on my laptop (Samsung NP550P5C-S05IN). I have experience installing OS X - Mavericks & Yosemite previously on this laptop and now want to install Sierra. I have followed many guides available on the web for the installation and I have created a USB using "clover" and "createinstallmedia" command and is able to boot up to the installation window and proceed with the installation. The only problem I am facing is to after the first reboot, when I boot into 'Install Mac OS' the installation displays: Mac OS can't be installed on this computer. Unable to un-mount the volume for repair. I already tried changing various clover settings and also tried various SMBIOS but to no help. Thanks!!

  11. [GUIDE] GA-Z97-D3H - GTX650 - MacOS Sierra 10.12 Intro: This is a guide written specifically for the GAZ97D3H on OSX Sierra. It should be noted that this guide will also work for El Cap. This board and build is flawless thanks to the hard work of myself and many forum members on OSX86.net. Thank you. Hardware: GA-Z97-D3H (rev 1.1, latest BIOS) Intel Core i7 4790k (O.C. to 4.6Ghz) EVGA GTX650 1GB 16GB HyperX 1833mhz 120GB PNY Optima SSD Corsair H110i GTX 1TB WD HDD, 320GB HDD MacOS Sierra 10.12 Additional Hardware: This build does not use onboard audio. It also uses a USB wifi dongle. Enabling ALC1150 audio on this board is possible but i HIGHLY recommend just buying the USB audio dongle below. SO much easier. Asus N13 USB Wifi Dongle (been using this since 10.6) Syba Virtual 7 SD-CM-UAUD71 7.1 Audio USB dongle (i have had 3 of these and work OOB) Working: App Store CPU Scaling (speedstep) Graphics Ethernet Wifi Everything Installation: Download Sierra from App store Create a USB (theres plenty of guides around the web that work easily) IMPORTANT: Don't forget to copy FakeSMC.kext to /EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.12 before installing (if '10.12' folder not there, make a new one) Before Installing: Enable the following BIOS features and SAVE the profile in case ever lost.. Disable VT-d Set XHCI to Auto mode Disable IGFX Enable XHCI and EHCI handoff Set SATA Configuration to AHCI Post Install: Install Ethernet kext Download: AppleIntelE1000e.kext.zip Place in ~System/Library/Extension Run Kextutility.app to repair permissions/cache . (not completely required but recommended) Reboot <---- Install Wifi Kext and Preference Pane for USB Dongle This kext is hard to find anymore. I don't use the drivers provided by ASUS on their website. I use another kext because Asus's was giving me proper shutdown problems. (more info: http://www.osx86.net/forums/topic/22716-mini-guide-asus-usb-n13-wifi-hackintosh-dongle/) Download RT2870 kext: RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext.zip Download DWA140 Pref Pane: DWA-140WirelessUtility.prefPane.zip (this allows us to use the wifi kext through preferences) Install RT2870.kext at ~System/Library/Extensions Install DWA140 Pre Pane at ~System/Library/Preference Panes Repair permissions/caches with kextutility.app REBOOT <--- Install Clover Bootloader to Installation Drive Download Clover Bootloader at sourcefourge.net Run through installer with these settings: (see attached images) DONT REBOOT YET Download my config file: config.plist Install config.plist at EFI/Clover Install FAKESMC.kext at EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.12 (again, make a 10.12 folder if it's missing) Reboot CHECKUP Check to see if TRIM support is enabled in System Information (it should be, if not, see below)Check 'About This Mac' to make sure everything is recognized If not enabled, see guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298507-enable-trim-on-non-apple-ssd/ Download DPCI Manager application (google) and run it. Under Status>model interface, you should see two items (one for ethernet, one for RT2870 ASUS USB) If the ethernet device is listed as 'en 0' then App store will work If the wifi is 'en 0' then app store will not work Verify App Store is working if not, navigate to MAC SSD/Library/Preferences/System Configuration Delete network interfaces.plist Reboot and App Store should work, also DPCI manager would show 'En 0' for ethernet. Generate SSDT SSDTs are required to enable CPU scaling - More info: http://www.osx86.net/forums/topic/24129-faq-4790k-haswell-how-to-install-on-a-hackintosh/ Place SSDT.aml at EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched Optional: Install Nvidia Web Drivers Download nvidia web drivers from Nvidia's site (not gpu specific) Make sure nvda_drv=1 kernel flag is selected in config.plist (use clover configurator app) - this allows the web drivers to load - if you used my config, it is already enabled Notes: *my config file attached has two strings under Kernel and Kext Patches > KextsToPatch.... one is trim enabler and the other im not totally sure what it is but keep it *If wanting to enable onboard alc1150 audio see my guide here for El Cap: http://www.osx86.net/forums/topic/23733-success-ga-z97-d3h-gtx650-el-capitan-1011-clover/ Issues: Really no issues are present with this build which is astonishing and the result of many OS X generations of fiddling around. That is not to say that the occasional KP won't happen. But overall, this is as close to stable as a hackintosh can get. I'm amazed. FAQ: DO I NEED TO INSTALL NVIDIA WEB DRIVERS? Answer is no, but they can fix long boot times (experienced this before and it fixed it) and if "About This Mac" is reading 'GTX 650 1023 MB' it will also fix that (sometimes) DO I NEED SSDT? YES. It allows the CPU to be efficient HOW TO OVERCLOCK? Overclocking must be done via the UEFI bios menu. CPU Test and Prime 95 and Intel Power Gadget are good apps to use HOW TO MONITOR TEMPS and STUFF? Monitor temps with the app HWMonitor. Download the app and install the sensors at System/Library/Extensions HOW TO ENABLE iMESSAGE? I'm an android guy so i dont use iMessage, but if for some reason it isn't working after using this guide to enable App Store, then do some research. Its quite a complex subject but can be done! DO BIOS VERSIONS MATTER? Bios should be latest revision - but i have used 3 versions with this board and all work well. Performance: Geekbench 64bit: 19589 score APPRECIATION: Thanks to all who has helped in the past. OSX86.net , forums members DMOS and Kyndder, as well as many others in the community. Thank you. I will update this thread. Hit me up for questions. I get push notifications to my phone.

  13. Hi guys, I'm having some issues getting started with a N***** Sierra Z*** installation from chameleon. I'm using chameleon since I seem to not have any luck with UEFI. I already have Yosemite Z*** running on this machine, with an occasional graphics issue but overall running pretty well. I have an AMD A4-6300 with Radeon HD 8370 on a Gigabyte mobo, although Yosemite sees it as Intel (?). I'm posting my verbose logs below. It seems to reboot right as it's trying to load the kernel (I'm not great at this so I could be totally wrong lol). I had to use that Wait=Yes boot flag to stop it from rebooting so I could take pictures. Any advice is greatly appreciated, and let me know if I forgot to include anything. My Screenshots Thanks guys!

This is a new updated kext and utility directly from MediaTek for the MT7610U and MT7612U network chipset. This utility was updated and released on January 20th 2016 on MediaTek website. I have the Netgear A6210 AC1200-WiFi USB 3.0 Adapter and it works perfectly under OSX 10.11.6 with USB 3.0 and 5GHz networks being recognized. It should work for any card with one of those two chips. UPDATE 10/1/2016 I have had some serious trouble updating my system to macOS 10.12 Sierra but I have finally seemed to have gotten it working. When I have done a clean install and installing this package afterwards, It didn't seem to work. However after updating a working copy of El Capitan to Sierra with this package already installed, it seems to work. So as of this post, this same package does work under macOS 10.12 Sierra but you might have some trouble like I have until mediatek performs their own official update. UPDATE 10/26/16 I have finally figured out what is going on with this installer package. When you run this package as is, it will not install the kext on macOS sierra. It will install the wireless utility and all associated files but not the actual kext. I have included the kext as a standalone as well. Install the Kext with kext utility then run the installer pkg. Reboot and you will have a perfectly working USB wireless stick. Confirmed working macOS 10.12.1 RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext.zip

If there is a better driver or Sinetek updates a new one that resolves this in the future it would be great, but for now i just don't eject the card after it is loaded - It does work but a usb card reader may be a better option at this time. - laptop function key and FN+function key swapping - people tended to do this with Karabiner but not yet compatible with Sierra - you can do it in the bios -- hit F10 when booting to get to the bios settings, go to System Configuration, and Disable 'Action Keys' if you want to get the function keys to act like normal computers, and making the special keys respond if you hold down the FN key and the function key instead --fix sierra's graphics glitches added to clover's config.plist the data from the zipped plist here: https://www.{censored}.com/threads/fix-skylake-menu-bar-glitch-fix.206400/ the config.plist uploaded in this posting includes this set of patches --wifi workarounds: fox-fi with pdanet works with tether, not in blu tooth (but not very lucky with that lately even with windows) Anewkodi wireless ac dongle (i got it on amazon) - the windows 10 driver worked, the description has a link to the latest driver so scroll down and find it here http://anewkodi.com/?product=network-adapter-usb-wi-fi-dongle-adapter-600mbps - the linux driver is old but there was another one for that chipset online that does work (i have this machine triple booting with ubuntu 16.0.4) for completeness here: https://github.com/Grawp/rtl8812au_rtl8821au -- the driver for OS X states it is for 10.11 but it worked for me in both El Capitan and Sierra. - the terminal commands to get trackpad to do 2-finger clicks and bottom right click (same time) in el capitan are here (sierra does not need this): (from this thread: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/right-click-possible-to-have-2-finger-tap-and-bottom-right-click.1306957/ ) defaults write com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad TrackpadCornerSecondaryClick -int 2 defaults write com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad TrackpadRightClick -bool true defaults -currentHost write NSGlobalDomain com.apple.trackpad.trackpadCornerClickBehavior -int 1 defaults -currentHost write NSGlobalDomain com.apple.trackpad.enableSecondaryClick -bool true --touchbar (the new macbook thing for an updated sierra) additionally apple has created a touch bar - the programmed method (called a hack on other baords) worked here with my ipad https://github.com/bikkelbroeders/TouchBarDemoApp/releases but those who have the 'duet' display app have the touch bar included - it has more features and as a plus also works when I boot into Windows - it is 9.99 so not free - --apple app store fix: the issues... clover has to have static machine id (can't change each boot) en0 network adapter usually not set up to fix ethernet adapter (en0) data, go here: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration delete these two files: NetworkInterfaces.plist preferences.plist reboot (rebuilds interfaces) - Additional keyboard ideas: The Print Screen key has a couple of different effects: Clicking 'prt scr' itself toggles on and off the voodoo trackpad but clicking ALT + prt scr (Command + Print Screen on a Mac) treats it as Command + F18 -- You can use key mapping to make alt+print screen in the system settings -> keyboard -> shortcuts to make it do a print screen -- or look for the BetterTouchTool app (not entirely free but really nice for key remappings on macs) The HP x360 Airplane mode key: There is no airplane mode key on Macs but you can use control+f12 or alt+f12 -- the BetterTouchTool app allows you to set these easily (or other remapper) - Airplane mode refers to turning off both wi-fi and bluetooth. I have not done this but an answer here ( https://stackoverflow.com/questions/8328183/how-to-programmatically-turn-on-and-off-bluetooth-wifi-and-sound-on-osx ) provided a handy information bluetooth command line tool: http://www.frederikseiffert.de/blueutil/ though it may only work with a real mac?? -- if your wifi adapter is en1 to turn it on/off this is the command: sudo ifconfig en1 up [or] sudo ifconfig en1 down -- making a script for each or one for toggling would be a great way to handle this key. There are also airport power commands mentioned, though not up to date for Sierra in that set of postings at this time. Alt+F1 (like command+F1 on a mac) supposedly handles screen mirroring - this may be the same or similar - on a PC the F1 key is often used as HELP in programs (the key has a question mark on it on the x360 so remapping it to launch Siri, Safari, or even a Spotlight Search would be handy. On the HP Pavilion x360 the F4 key (Alt+F4 or Ctrl-F4 is remappable on a mac) handles screen displays - can be used for something else via BetterTouchTool but similar to the Command+F1 option listed above
  20. Touchscreen macOS Sierra

I recently picked up a non-functional Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon 27" all-in-one touchscreen PC. After installing a new motherboard , I went straight to U{censored}. Two days later , I have a rather large all-in-one running macOS Sierra with a fully functioning touchscreen. However, I'm still having a few issues with Bluetooth drivers and I'm unable to boot from Internal EFI. I'll post more as I work out the kinks. Any help or suggestions on the issues I'm having would be greatly appreciated. The Bluetooth module requires a BCM20702a0 kext/driver which I have installed several versions of with no luck. An onscreen keyboard would be a nice addition but highly unlikely.
  21. Clover configurator problem, Sierra

Hi, I have recently installed MacOS Sierra 10.12.2 on my PC. I got everything working, including imessages, but yesterday when I installed windows 10 on a separate hard drive, I noticed the clover bootloader resolution changed to 1024x768 and theme switched to christmas. I opened clover configurator and loaded config.plist and all the fields were blank! I changed resolution and theme in Gui tab and it worked, but all the SMBIOS fields are still empty... Did I do anything wrong? How to fix this? Any help will be apreciated! P.S.: Even with all fields blank, iMessage still works... 22. I recently built a custom Hackintosh, and am very pleased with everything EXCEPT for one major problem; I installed a TP-LINK Archer T9E PCI Express AC1900 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express Adapter and for some reason, my Hackintosh simply cannot recognize this device at all. It is a huge issue to not have a wireless internet connection, especially since my work is almost entirely done online. Here is a list of the important hardware I am using to run macOS Sierra (10.12.2):-GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 Motherboard-Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake Quad-Core 4.0 GHz Processor-TP-LINK Archer T9E PCI Express AC1900 Wireless Dual Band PCI Express AdapterI was under the impression that this wifi adapter was natively supported by macOS X, but apparently I was wrong. Perhaps there is something I need to do in the BIOS to enable PCIe compatibility? My motherboard is currently running the F5 BIOS software, fyi. I would love to get this problem resolved, so any help is much appreciated!
  23. AMD kernel for Sierra 10.12.x??

Here you can find my complete set of kexts. They are separated in two folders. After installing RTGNICv2.0.6For10.7 I had to manually remove RTL8169 kext, because sometimes I got KP, not always, every third or fourth time. For Bluetooth you also have to add this to kext patches in CLOVER. Without this BT works OOB, but with additional kext and this patch, BT works even after cold boot and after sleep, no issues ever again. Credits http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2925-bluetooth-firmware-uploader/ Name: IOBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport Find: 0F850701 Replace: 0F840701 Comment: Fix Bluetooth 30 seconds delay patch For audio and mine is ALC269VB Device ID 28 I had to change igain from 90 to 0 in info.plist and install kext straight to S/L/E, you HAVE to remove AppleHDA kext before that. DONT FORGET sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions after installing KEXTS please I am using easykct pro and neer had a single problem. WIthout igain fix I had static noise after every boot. This is voodooHDA kext and all credits goes to him ofc, except for changing this igain thing, and that can do every better trained monkey like me Audio is working excellent, headphones and MIC on apple headphones is working, didn't test mic port on laptop to be honest, but BT headphones and everything else works fine. Other kext as stated goes to 10.12 folder or Other, in clover kext folder, for some strange reason I keep both of them synced and populated with same kexts I dont have factory installed WiFi-BT card, I bought separately AR5B95 ( AR9285+AR3011) Ah yes, for some reason I am using ELAN touchpad, no prefpane, but it is working as it should. 25. Dear friends, after a lot of troubles, I did it. I managed to install fully functional Sierra on this notebook. Will upload all required files very soon, as soon as I get some free time. It is clover on UEFI kind of installation. First of all I had to flash BIOS with moded version. I did this at least 10 times without any problem, so for me BIOS flashing is not risky at all. Only thing to do in BIOS is to enable UEFI booting. OFC If you do some damage to your notebook it is your fault only. https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-BIOS-MOD-FOR-DELL-N7110-UNLOCKED-UEFI-BOOT Still working on everything to work and once i am done, in next few days, I will post step by step guide. So far I only have MIC not working and I have to disable nVidia in DSDT and SSDT ( it will take some time for sure ) For a start I wil insert drivers folder which you have to put in Kext folder in EFI partition. For bluetooth to work after sleep and cold boot you can do this from http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2925-bluetooth-firmware-uploader/ For Clover, add this to kext patches instead: Name: IOBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport Find: 0F850701 Replace: 0F840701 Comment: Fix Bluetooth 30 seconds delay patch With credits to TimeWalker for the patch idea. and bluetoothfirmwareuploader has to be installed in S/L/E followed by sudo touch System/Library/Extensions. Regarding Ethernet, there is pkg driver which works excellent on 10.2.2, but only with 10 Mbit full duplex - you must set this parameters manually from advanced settings in network prefpane.
