Nawcom ModCD doesn't recognise OSX Retail DVD?

Hi everyone,

I am a bit of a newbie so please be nice :P

First of all I would just like to say how great this site is, I love the free resources that you can download from here and I am seriously thinking about donating.

Right basically I have a bit of a problem. I am trying with a hackintosh on my AMD system (I will post specs below), But I am having some issues with getting to the installation. I burned the retail.DMG of 10.6.3 snow leopard to a 8.5GB dvd on the slowest setting using Transmac. I also have a copy of Nawcoms ModCd 0.3.2. My problem is that when I come to swap the Mod CD with the retail DVD and hit F5, The bootloader just doesn't see the snow leopard DVD?.

Bios is configured to ACHI

Sleep is S3 only.

I do not know why this is happening, would really love to get mac working on this machine so any help would be greatly appriceated :eagerness:

Kind regards,

M/B: Asus M4A88TD-V Evo/Usb3 (BIOS Build 2201)

CPU: AMD Phenom ii X4 965 Black Edition @3.4Ghz

RAM: 8GB Kingston HyperXBlue KHX1600C9AD3B1K2/4G (4X2GB Sticks)

GPU: AMD Radeon HD5670 1GB

2X LG SuperMulti IDE DVD-DL Drives

Thanks again So much :encouragement:

Do like me and purchase a copy from the Apple Store. Free UPS shipping and cost 31.03 for Snow Leopard. You might get help from an original disc instead of a "burned" disc.
