I unfortunately do not get the graphics card (5650) .. to run! When booting, it is properly recognized by OSX / Chameleon, but OSX itself .. 3 MB graphics card .. : (

Yes it load.

On ATI it doesn't load

on AMD load: AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext

AMDSupport.kext

AMD5000Controller.kext

AMDFramebuffer.kext

Just did the myFix on Myhack and the program uninstall my Wifi card.

On my 10.8.3 i used Graphic Enabler=YES and Framebuffer=Eulemur (Already tried Hoolock) and it worked like a charm.

Now, on 10.8.4, i'm still using the same config. But the graphic is not fully QE_CI. It reconize the ATI RADEON Hd 5650 but without QE_CI.

Funny thing: I can't find AMDSupport, AMD5000Controller and AMDFramebuffer on S/L/E. Only the AMDRadeonAccelerator.

And if i delete AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext the CPU restarts faster, but still without QE_CI.

Ah we are talking a mobility card. They are much more difficult.

All needed kexts are load, this is good. Why it still doesn't work is hard to tell.

AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext

AMDSupport.kext

AMD5000Controller.kext

AMDFramebuffer.kext

ATI was changed to AMD

Start reading from: Forced EDID

But this is not an easy way and I don't know if it would help.

If you have a spare USB hard disk you can try a new install with the Retail 10.8.4 from Apple with myHack.

You can also try to roll back the 10.8.3 kexts on your 10.8.4 install. Backup first to a USB drive and make it bootable. Try it on the USB drive!

Or you have to go back to 10.8.3.

What you do is your decision, but please don't destroy your current install :)

With IORegistryExplorer.app.zip you can see what kext are being used/loaded.

Look for PEG0 or PEG1

I already sort my EDID on the 10.8.3 because without it won't work.

So... Looking deeper on the IORegistry, i didn't find the AMDFramebuffer and the AMDRadeonAccelerator.kext.

If i type on IOregistry finder the two above, i wont find, only the AMD5000controler, AMDSupport and AMDRedwoodGrapphicsAccelerator

I presume that AMDRadeonGraphicsAccelerator is the AMDRadeonAccelerator.

I'm almost thinking in reinstall everything again with 10.8.3.

There must be another way. lol

Thanks for the Help Rene.

AFAIK it is the AMDFramebuffer.kext, rest seems good.

You can also try updating Chameleon.

Try removing the Framebuffer from your boot.plist. Use only GraphicsEnabler=yes. Now the default framebuffer will load, see what it is?

You can also try other framebuffers. Easiest way to test this is by typing it as bootflag.

eg.

AtiConfig=Eulemur -v

In Chameleon Wizard you can see al the framebuffer names. Write them down and try them.

Or you can ask help at oralia's from the link I gave you.

Thanks, I'll try that.. Let's see what happens..

So...

when i tried to remove the framebuffer from Chameleon.

Only worked on external monitor.

HDMI didn't worked.

When change the resolution to 1366x768 the OS reconize the laptop monitor.

Looking into the IOregistry i find that the right framebuffer for me is Baboon.

But still without QE_CI.

Don't know what else to do..

Do you know how to roll back to 10.8.3? I don't have the time machine or any kind of backup. I think that this would be the best solution for me.

Thanks Rene

First be sure you have a bootable backup disk if things go bad and make your install unbootable.

Here are the four 10.8.3 kexts you need: arthurmasiero_AMD10.8.3.zip

Install with Kext Wizard and select Backup kexts that will be replaced.

I think you should start with only replacing "ATIFramebuffer.kext"

Run myFix.

---------------------

If you want your old 10.8.3 install back just install like you did and update to 10.8.3.

Now run Migration Assistant and point it to your 10.8.4 and add your old account and Applications.

Be sure to not use your account name during install, because your need that name during migration to add your account.
