OLD
iMessage not working - iCloud/Internet etc working - Changed boot.plist file and network.plist file - Help - Page 14 - OSx86 10.8 (Mountain Lion) - InsanelyMac Forum

Update Chameleon to "Chameleon v2.2 svn r2168" with Chameleon Wizard.
Copy/make folder /Extra/modules and put "FileNVRAM.dylib" in folder modules.
If you have "ACPICodec.dylib" in/Extra/modules, delete it!
Restart to make the file "nvram.5002e503-4904-ed05-e306-560700080009.plist"

In terminal type:

ioreg -lw0 | grep PlatformUUID

to get your "PlatformUUId"

Open with text Edit "nvram.5002e503-4904-ed05-e306-560700080009.plist"
Replace:
<key>4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14</key>
with your "PlatformUUId".

Reboot and enjoy, iMessage is working again smile.png

Do you think this'll work with AMD? There appears to be a separate fix, that's why... http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/282821-icloud-for-amd-hackintoshes-a-workaround/

Jason,

What I did is really simple.

1. Install Chameleon r2170 to the boot partition.

2. Check/Remove ACPICodec.dylib from /Extra/modules

3. Copy FileNVRAM.dylib to /Extra/modules

Just reboot and it will create the nvram-******.plist file under /Extra. I don't need to change anything for that autogen-ed file.

And iMessage just works along with other iCloud stuff.

Hope it helps.

I looked at your screen shot again. It was not the same error message as mine before the fix.

My error message is something like "can not connect to iMessage service". Is your Apple ID a new one?
