Macbook 2,1 running 10.8, want to update to 10.8.5

Question

first of all, its been awhile, i tried going to hackint0sh.org and saw porn... i was like, na this aint right... LOL!!!

?

Ok, so I bought a Macbook for my sister as a gift, and realized its unsupported of Mavericks, which sucks, because Mavericks is wonderful. Gives me a Snow Leopard feel. *nostalgia* Anywho, I wanted her on a more recent system than Snow Leopard, or the disaster that was Lion. So, since I am typing from a hackintosh running Mavericks, I set out to put Mountain Lion on the unsupported Macbook 2,1. Its weird to be 'hackintoshing' a real mac. Got it installed, and surprisingly EVERYTHING works OOB. even QE/CI.?

?

However, its only 10.8. I want it to be at 10.8.5. Would it kill the install to install the combo update? or is it like the Snow Leopard days, where you just back up the graphics, airport, and audio kexts, and reinstall them after the update is performed with kext utility??

?

I used MLPostFactor. Its really stupid easy to do. and so far, this 'old' macbook is running it like a champ.?

?

let me throw a couple things out.... i would have gotten her a macbook pro aluminum, like I have, but i got my MBP for 50 bucks, just had to replace the screen and the top case. and all the aluminums were over 350 bucks. i had 200. so i settled for what I could get. Its her 17th birthday present, so I want this to be done right.?

slight update... i went ahead and backed the stuff up anyway to a folder on the desktop, and went to install the update. im getting a javascript error. "cannot be installed due to an error while evaluating the javascript".?

?

i saw that error a couple times on Snow Leopard, and even on Tiger, on my old G3 iBook. Never could figure it out. reloading a few times did the trick. any way to do it without reloading, or am I kind of on my own here, running 10.8 on an unsupported system?
