[Help] Display via VGA port

Question

I want to install Yosemite on my system. My hardware has been verified as Yosemite supported. My GPU is nVidia GT 740 and my monitor has only a VGA (D-SUB) connector. I have read somewhere that installation may have problem (blank or gray screen) with the VGA connector. It is also said that VGA output does not work at all in OSx.

?

Is that true? if yes, what should I do? Would a DVI-VGA converter work in this case?
Please, tell me more if I am missing something..

?

Thank You...

Thank you very much for your reply.
I have done a little bit of digging and now I understand that I have to use a HDMI to VGA converter if VGA does not work. As my video card has only DVI-D ports, DVI to VGA is not going to work.

Thanks again. :eagerness:
