Question

Hi all,

A random question, i own an old macbook black addition that only runs snow leopard.

Is there a way i can install anything more up to date by means of treating it like a hackintosh ?

Here are my specks.

  • CPU SPEED2.16GHz
  • CPU TYPE Intel Core 2 Duo
  • GRAPHICS Integrated/On-Board Graphics
  • HDD 160GB
  • MODEL NUMBER A1181
  • OPTICAL DRIVE CD/DVD-RW
  • OS Snow Leopard
  • OS VERSION 10.6.8
  • PART NUMBER EMC 2139
  • SCREEN SIZE 13.3"
  • RAM 2GB
  • RAM TYPE DDR2,

Any ideas would be helpful if not I guess snow leopard will have to do.

         Many thanks ,

         Pete.

First of all -Yes you can upgrade

You can install Osx Lion, MLion, Mavericks, ...

Just try it..

Probably you will loose Qe/ci acceleration on graphics card .

BTW you will try to find a way to enable your old GC.

See Ya
