ATI 5450 on MACPRO with 10.11.6 problem

Question

Hello, I cannot run my ATI HD5450 on MACPRO 1,1 with 10.11.6

It run ok under 10.7 lion with the 68F91002 kext modify manually on ATI5000controller and the other ATIRADEONX3000.

I tried to do the same on 10.11.6 but nothing. I can see only black screen.

Now I have both video card on the MacPro and it works with GT7300 but in system report It says no kext loaded for the other video card....

Here the report:

michis-Mac-Pro:~ michi$ kextstat | grep AMD

  121    0 0xffffff7f822a7000 0x125000   0x125000   com.apple.kext.AMDSupport (1.3.6) 83090AC0-12F4-3913-875B-34864770E7AD <120 90 12 11 7 5 4 3 1>

michis-Mac-Pro:~ michi$

I loaded both them manually but how can I load them at the boot? I think this is the problem....

Hello @mig81!

Sorry for the late reply...

By "original" boot loader you mean Chameleon? Let's change it to Clover?

Post the complete hardware information and let's start the setup...

[EDIT]

I just noticed that you are on a real MacPro1,1...  😅

Anyway, you can use Clover the same way, the thing is, you must inject only Video properties...

You can also, make a try using Lilu.kext + WhateverGreen.kext...

You are using pikerAlpha boot.efi patch ?

if not then use that and  you can use his boot patch with clover to.I think its the best way to run on unsupported macs

Yes, I'm using pikerAlpha boot.fi patch. I tried to install Clover 2,4 r4674  but the installation failure...maybe because I'm booting 10.11 from a firewire hard disk?

Not sure if the FireWire drive is your issue, but, you should definitely take it out of the equation if you can.

Keep it as simple as you can until it works - then you can add the bells and whistles :)

Firewire should not cause any issue.

Can you make a USB with clover boot for testing purposes

Also post clover error log so we can check what errors you have.

Also post Darwin dumper reports.
