warm i7 920 - running osx 10.6.6

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

I have an new Hackintosh Build. But i think my CPU is to hot? In BIOS the temp is about 40 on stock clock.

But when i check the iStat Monitor in OSX its about 55/60 idle, up to 70 75 in load.

My build is made on DSDT.

This is the DSDT file i use.

Some know any known problems about this heat problem??

My CPU Cooler is this one:

Nexus FLC-3000 R2 UNIVERSAL Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler, at a 30 degree angleonly 7cm high!

Thanks! :)

Did you ever had a look at Auto-Patcher: DSDT Auto-Patcher by MaLd0n

This is the best way, extracting the DSDT from your own hardware (BIOS).

Done it on a X58-UD5 and a 920@3.5GHz

Temps idle 47°C and Max load ±65-70°C

Cooler: Zalman CNPS9700

Chameleon is doing the Native Power Management with:

GeneratePStates and GenerateCStates
