[GUIDE] OS X 10.6 on AMD

Recommended Posts

Nevermind. ?I got it working. ?I was talking about editing the org.chameleon.Boot.plist file in the extra folder.

I had

<key>kernel</key><string>legacy_kernel</string><key>kernel flag</key><string>arch=i386 -force64</string>

Now, I got the QE CI Patch to install for my HD4850.

?

But I still have one problem. ?When I try to install the Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver in MB{censored} 4. ?It breaks and then double panic mode again.

Do you know how to safely remove the kext using sudo?

?

I guess I'm back to square one again.

Turns out my mobo uses Atheros GbE chipset. ?No wonder it breaks.

I'm back at it again. ?All patches applied and at SL 10.6.8

?

Applied QE CI Patch. ?Waiting for reboot.

?

Hopefully I get it right this time and apply the right network driver patch.

no. ?i don't have an issue with the ATI4800Controller.

The 4850 loaded up fine and I can see 1920x1080.

?

Issue is with the Atheros network driver.

I installed both?AtherosLC1Ethernet.kext and AtherosL1Ethernet.kext.

Neither of them works.

?

I'm now tempted to insert?

?

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
????<string>Yes</string>

?

I saw some people in other post injecting?npci=0x2000, what does that do?

?

As last resort, I might just go buy a realtek PCIe ethernet card.

Hi. ?Just an update. ?I gave up on the Atheros network card and brought a $6 Realtek 8168 card. ?

Internet is working now. ?But I have another issue.

?

Itunes, Steam, and QuickTime doesn't work.

?

I looked up Marvin AMD CPUID Patch. ?Tried to run it but it doesn't run.

Does anyone have any recommendation?

?

Thanks in advance.
