About This File

Hello, everyone! I had a hard time on the internet looking for a DSDT to match my laptop model number, so I ended up creating my DSDT. This DSDT fully works with all versions of Lion 10.7, 10.7.1, 10.7.2, and 10.7.3. I didn't have the opportunity to test this DSDT out with Snow Leopard, because I already had Lion installed on my laptop. Everything fully works except for the Wifi adapter.

Core i7 2670M

Hi, I have this laptop (x53sv) and with this DSDT as well as with one I extracted myself I got Kernel Panic due to AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement.kext. Which install and post-install method did you follow?

Hi, kissandtell. I'm sorry to hear that. I did not get a Kernel Panic, because I worked out all the flaws prior to posting. I originally used iATKOS_L1 for Lion installation, then I used a mixture of Champlist, DSDT Editor, Kext Helper, MB{censored}, and rBoot LE (Lap Edition) to get around any previous Kernel Panics that occurred. If possible, I advise you to make a boot disc of rBoot LE from {censored} website and use that as a boot disc so you can get into the OS to patch up that kext. Are you running in safe more? What system definition are you using? Let me know if that works please...

I used instead the simpliest and cleanest method that I know: {censored} U{censored} to install LION and than MB{censored} Lion edition, but it works only in Easybeast mode (without native AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement, NullCpuPowerManagement to replace it, System definition MacBook Pro 8,1). With user DSDT (both yours and mine) I had kernel panic

Please try the rboot LE bootcd that I've recommended. Also, {censored} released a new version of MB{censored} today, 4.2. You may want to try that as well.

I surely can boot with rBoot LE,I tried several times, but after that the system still won't work without NullCpuPowermanagement kext. MB{censored} 4.2 contains Chimera 1,7 that I already tried separately and a kext that prevents CMOS reset. I don't think it will fix my issue (with proper DSDT it should have worked anyway) but I'll try

Hi, sirtemplar. I have the same problem as you. As I mentioned in the comment with my posting, I was unable to succeed in getting the Wifi card to work. If you or anyone else find a solution, please enlighten me. Thank you.

Hi, shakur. I used the ati/nvidia update pkg and the latest VoodooHDA for the audio. Just make sure that you delete/remove AppleHDA prior to installing VoodooHDA to avoid any kernel panics.
